The location of the house is in a quiet and excellent place, close to the lake. Breakfast was tasty and also very good coffee, which made relaxing in the morning on the balcony overlooking the lake more pleasant. The house and rooms are very clean, comfortable. And since I travel quite a bit, I want to say that Franziska and Thomas are the best hosts I've ever met. They are very kind and took good care of us.

Haus Salzkristall is located right around the corner from Hallstatt. I drove here by car, and I could easily drive to Hallstatt in about 5 minutes. I highly recommend staying here given how close it is to Hallstatt and given that it has parking as well if you are driving. The hosts are very communicative, helpful, and very kind. I greatly appreciated them. The room was spacious, and upstairs the balcony provided a decent view. The breakfast was okay. I'm sure booking a hotel right inside Hallstatt might be beautiful, but it will also cost a lot more, and the parking will probably be a challenge.

Room is a couple floors up on the stairs - be careful if you have heavy luggage to make sure you are ready to carry it up.

It was a very nice and cozy hotel, perfect for a stay in this beautiful village. It had everything you’d need, the breakfast was really nice, the hosts are exceptional- they make sure you have everything you need, they were very helpful and friendly. The view from our room was stunning. I really enjoyed my time there and would totally come back.

Nice B&B with great hosts near Hallstatter lake. Room was very clean with an awsome view, breakfast was good, parking is right in front of the house. Restaurants and lake are walking distance. The location is great for exploring the area. You can easily reach Hallstatt by walking, boat, bus or car.

Owners are very nice, helpful and kind. They provide all the help they can about everything you may need. Rooms are very clean and breakfast is complete, and is accompanied by delicious home-made sweet treats (different ones every day) and jams.

Everything is exactly as you see on the photographs - clean, comfortable & it was alltogether extremely pleasant stay, all thanks to amazing hosts! They also serve a very rich breakfast buffet + there's a coffee area with a mini fridge right outside the room that really comes in handy after hours. The location is perfect for people looking for a quiet place to rest. It's 20-min boat ride (or 50-min walk around the lake) from Hallstatt, so you can easily explore the whole area & escape the crowd. You can also easily get to other nearby sights (Altausee, Grundlsee & Toplitzsee). I'd definitely recommend it & would come back!

The hosts were absolutely lovely, friendly and accommodating. They were very helpful in planning our activities The breakfast was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was onsite and easily accessible. The accommodation was located within easy walking distance to the town, boats to Hallstatt, lake front swimming, restaurants, and local entertainment. Lovely, quiet place. We really enjoyed our stay.
