Super friendly and helpful host. Comfortable room with everything you need, the place is sparkling clean. Breakfast was very good. Location is excellent. Short bike or a car ride to Hallstatt but the place is way less crowded.

Tom is such a helpful host and anwered me very quickly and in detail. The hotel is located conveniently near both the train and bus stations, which enables us to get to Hallstatt and the ice cave easily. Its surrounding is peaceful with amazing view. Good breakfast. The hotel is highly recommended.

The best part were the hosts who made us feel so comfortable. The personal touch they added cannot even be dreamed of from a mainstream hotel. We also liked the cozy room with its lake view. The location is good - it is a 7 minute walk down to the lake from where you can take a boat to Hallstatt.

Excellent cozy guesthouse located at the amazing place. The view to the lake from the balcony is stunningly picturesque! Hallstatt is only few kilometers away and very easy to reach by bus or by boat, but we took a lovely 40 mins walk along the lake. The village where the guesthouse is located is quite a nice place too The room was bright, very clean and sooo cozy! Also the breakfast was nice - fresh fruites and bread, eggs, juice, cerials etc The hosts are so warm and welcoming that it felt more like being at home!

The room was clean and the view from the balcony was amaizing. The breakfast was so delicious, especially the homemade muffins and the jams were great. The owners Franziska and Thomus are very kind, so we had good and calm time during the visit. Obertraun is good to access Halsttat with the boat or train and ship.

Absolutely great experience, at a fantastic location, with an amazing view, and wonderful hosts. Would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Hallstatt, the lake, as well as the nearby mountains and trails, or for anyone wanting to relax. The room was comfortable (still can't get over how beautiful the view was!), and the breakfast was also delicious.

We enjoyed being there. We liked food, quiet rooms, we got advice to go somewhere, spoke with Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Franziska about everything, we spend a liitle time together. They have non-stop self-care table with coffee and tea. I can reccommend this house to spend there nice time near Halstadt and many ski centers.

Hosts were really nice and welcome us properly. They were really available for anything and did give us tips for where to go, how to get there and restaurant. We even had some sweets for halloween :-) Room was big enough and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but great homemade cupcakes and jam. Parking lot available and we even got a discount card for attractions in the surrounding for free :-)

We spent an amazing weekend in Obertraun, a calm and peaceful area. The room we stayed in was comfortable and has a beautiful view, great breakfast and the owners are very kind and helpful, it was a pleasure to meet them. Getting to Hallstatt from the house is very easy, there is a bus stop and a boat nearby. It was for sure a great experience, we would go back and recommend.
