We stayed 2 nights in room 2, overlooking the garden and the beautiful mountains and had a great stay. Haus Rautner is a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry stop through town and 2-5 minutes away from the bus station, the shop and the cable car to the salt mine. The room was spacious, warm and really clean and the bed was comfy. Maria, the host, is really friendly and lovely and she makes an amazing breakfast, which she brought to our room every morning. We had a private bathroom, which was very clean. It is really quiet and peaceful so we had a very restful sleep and a great time exploring Hallstatt. We would definitely recommend Haus Trausner and would love to come back.

The wifi didn't work super well, and the house was definitely a walk from the city center. However, it was so worth it. And a nice walk when it wasn't snowing!

The house is ideally located, close to main Hallstatt's attractions. The room was very comfy and cosy, with an amazing view over the mountains. The host was amazing too, by giving very useful tips and recommendations and preparing a yummy breafast. Very good value for money.

We spent five days in this place and we have a very good time. The location is perfect, only few minutes of centre. The room was very clean, comfortable and there was a beautiful view by the window. A great stay in a gorgeous location. Our host, Maria, was an angel. Always cheerful and so happy to help. Lovely breakfast in the garden started us off well each day. Location was great, only a 10 min walk from the ferry and 5 mins from the central sea front. Would recommend to all.

The location is unbeatable -- it is at the quiet end of Hallstatt in Lahn, very near the Salzwelten entry point. I looooove this house, it is so nice and cosy, my little one loved the comfortable bed and slept like the baby that he is. Maria is a lovely host and she gave us lots of tips going around Hallstatt. Thank you for having us and making our Hallstatt stay truly memorable ❤️

Maria was the high point of our stay. She is so warm and friendly. She was always helping us with a warm smile and communicated very well. She also pointed out a wonderful trail which has now become the highlight of our European trip. It was because of her and this stay that Hallstatt has become the best place we ever visited. The place is only 5min walking from Hallstatt Lahn bus stand. You can take a buss from obertraun(bus 543). Also to reach here you can take ferry and walk for 15mins. The train arrivals and departures are synced with ferry timings. Bus timings are 30mins away mostly from train timings. But its amazingly synchronized. Dont think just book with Maria.

The location is perfect The breakfast which was brought to our room every morning was more than enough for two people We couldn't have asked for more from our accommodation and our host. best location, 2 minutes walking from the bus terminal lahn and ist easy to go with a big luggage!!! Its amazing! Maria (the host) really nice people and so lovely!! Definitely im coming back here again next trip in Hallstat!!

the lack of eggs in the breakfast, but to be fair its not so common in any of the facilities that I’ve stayed so far in Austria (also compared with the rest of the facilities with included breakfasts that i had in Austria, this was the best one)

very clean facilities, polite, helpful and responsive (to messages and calls) host, great location and superb comfort (beds and pillows were amazing) and it has a parking place, you really don’t need anything else.
