How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

not very polite staff. we asked if we could park the car at the hotel where there is no sign "diamond member" at the reception they said yes, but the bellboy did not give us a place and with pressure and a raised tone said no and that we don't understand him. OK. the underground parking lot is great and spacious. but we were left with mixed feelings because we felt uncomfortable

Bed was on the soft side and the pillows for someone with a damaged neck far to soft

Location is good, Innere Stadt is about 3 minutes walking distance. Furthermore, the train station with a direct train from the airport is within 2 minutes walking as well. Staff is very friendly as well. Modern and tidy rooms.

Noisy ventilation system running all night and house keeping also making noise from 7PM, didn’t had a restful sleep.
Decent room size, walking distance to center and underground parking.

Check-in process via Hilton application did not work and additional registration was necessary for check in even though all the same process had been done before the re-registration.
Excellent location close to stadpark, subway station and city center, high-quality bedding amenities, calm and peaceful indoor atmosphere

No free water in rooms (they encourage everyone to drink from taps as it’s clean local water but I felt very uncomfortable drinking from tap!) Mini bar was downstairs rather than in rooms - seems an extra step Advertised as with bathrobes and slippers - not in the rooms and only in asking which is hassle and people may miss out No hand soap - they give you shampoo to wash your hands with - now maybe this is hand soap in a shampoo bottle or maybe the shampoo for ur hair is actually hand soap - not sure? Bellman only helps with luggage if you ask even if he’s standing there free and watching you which I find rude and unhelpful. No local map or information on arrival around things to see etc (which I’ve always seen in every other country)- maps only in German which isn’t very helpful to anyone that’s non speaking. Staff don’t smile - very professional but no one smiles at anyone. Very formal environment! I was also advised that the hotel doesn’t have a * as it’s a business centre - so be mindful when booking as it’s not a typical Hilton!
Nice location, good decor, clean and good buffet choices. Katharina was brilliant at sorting out a taxi for me to see local shops and very helpful!

The deposit fee was charged to my credit card on the first day of the stay. The reservation fee was also collected when leaving the hotel. It was said that the deposit received on the following days would be refunded. Currently, this fee is pending in authorization and has not been refunded yet. It has been 5 business days since I left the hotel.
The location was very good. Room cleaning was done every day.

Hotel advertises to have a parking available, but the parking is a owned by the city or a private owner, and a day charge is ca.45 EUR (2024y). No discount for guests. The hairdryer wasn't working.
Very good location, walking distance to many attractions. Good breakfast, comfortable beds.
