How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

1-No openable windows. this is a huge drawback. I felt like locked in a cage as someone normally sleeping with slightly open windows.... 2-I stayed in a suite room paying 230 euros. The room was also way too small for this money.... 3-The roof was closed...The ground floor lobby is too small and not cozy.

The breakfast was a typical Holiday Inn Breakfast. Nothing stupendous but quite sufficient. The price I paid was fabulous for the facility but recently I tried to rebook and the price had doubled. I attempted to get the original price but received a terse reply on Booking.com.

The towels
I got a room on the 18th floor. It was one of the best nights. Cleanliness is not an issue, complimentary tea and sweets were offered. Overall, perfect!

The elevators are not the most convenient ones and it is over engineered to an extent.
The facilities at the hotel are excellent. The staff is very friendly and understanding to your situation. The breakfast buffet spread is quite good as well.

For 22 euros per person, the breakfast is not worth it to be honest given the amount of options you have in Vienna. You can get way better food and value at the City Center or even downstairs at the Twin City mall. If you're travelling for business, you may not have a choice but if its for leisure, you're better off looking for options.
The staff at Holiday Inn were excellent. Very helpful and polite. Every morning like clockwork, we would ask the staff at the reception to give us directions to the sites we were visiting that day. They always went above and beyond to give us maps, route options and other tips. All this with a smile.

Lack of food choice - mainly A la Carte. Asked for a low level floor and got floor 16.

We had a double bed but 2 small duvet. Also they only offer a 2 in 1 shower gel witch is not ideal but they try to find a solution !
Very good hotel with very good facilities. The staff is kind and always tries to help. The establishment looks very well maintained and very cleaned. Signs are understandable and well indicated. The room is big and there is any noise during the night even when guests come back late at night.

Breakfast runs until 10:30, but beware if you are late they run out with some items, croissants and viennoiseries will be long gone as early as 9:30. There are 2 coffee machines but even with many customers around they shut down one and you end up making long queues (I have waited once 6 minutes) there was queue, then milk was missing, then coffee grains were missing ... :) :). The restaurant is on 22nd floors where you have a nice view. Once it was 10 o'clock and they shut down all the nice tables, (they set up for lunch I suppose) and people crowd in in the remaining space. Not so good with the COVID situation. The hotel is good and I will return but I just do not understand the management of the breakfast / restaurant.
The Hotel is good value for money. Take the 15a bus in front of the Hotel and go to Meidling U6 in just 5/10 minutes.
