We liked everything. First of all, how friendly was the host, the attention to us, making us feeling very special (we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary), the location (very centric), the cleanliness, the breakfast, the staff.

Great location. Walkable to everything. Ulrike (GM) was fantastic. She made it feel like we were staying at her house. Food was fantastic. Had breakfasts (too much) every day and a couple dinners. Relaxing chairs in rooms to have coffee / tea each day.

A small point, but the bathroom lighting was very bright & could not be adjusted. Some of the catering staff needed a bit more training. The entrance reception area of the hotel is very cramped, but not really a bothersome problem. It was not clear which lift floor to take to check in.

We really enjoyed the cheery atmosphere of this boutique hotel. We especially liked our hotel hostess. She was quirky, charming and working hard to ensure her guests enjoyed their stay. This is a small hotel in a quaint old building absolutely in the center of old Salzburg, so rooms are small but flamboyantly & colourfully decorated and space is at a premium. The bed was very comfortable, the air con worked well, the bathroom, shower and room facilities were generous. Unusually for European hotels, tea & coffee could be made in rooms, and a fridge contained a range of free drinks etc. Windows could be opened above the busy street and breakfast & pleasant dinner could be taken inside or al fresco.

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Goldgasse during our recent trip to Salzburg , and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The location of Hotel Goldgrasse couldn’t have been better, right in the heart of town, making it easy to access shopping, restaurants, and all the major sights. The hotel manager, Ms Ulrike was not only warm and welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the city and its attractions.From the moment we stepped into her office, we felt right at home. She greeted us with a friendly smile and took the time to understand our interests and preferences. What truly stood out was the manager’s assistance in arranging transportation via car and driver to Munich. We had quite a bit of heavy luggage, and this service made our travel incredibly convenient. The manager’s help in this regard was invaluable and made our trip much smoother. Overall, the hospitality and dedication of the hotel staff to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable were truly remarkable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Salzburg and we can't wait to return for another stay in the future.

Having to go home

Very friendly staff, all of whom made us feel most welcome. The hotel went the extra mile in organising a decorated birthday cake at short notice. It is in an ideal location and was the perfect choice to celebrate my wife's special cough, cough, birthday. Special praise must go to Ulrike who is so kind and helps with everything and anything required

Response of the property is timely. Location is in the middle of the center. Good restaurant downstairs. Breakfast option is very good, its like having a high tea. The owner is very lovely she got us upgraded and accepted our request for late check out.

Everything was perfect.

Perfect location. The receptionist was so warm and welcoming we wanted to move into the property. The room was so comfortable and having air conditioning was an enormous bonus. The natural light in our room was so inviting and added to the beautiful character of the room. This hotel had all of the lovely historical charm without any of the creepy haunted feeling which is hard to find.

We stayed for 2 nights during the Salzburg festival, at the tail end of our 2 week holiday in Slovenia. After host Ulrike’s warm welcome on arrival, nothing could go wrong! She is the gold standard of hospitality! Stylish, hip small hotel, spotlessly clean room with a view, great location in a cozy alleyway in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was superb, especially outside on the terrace.

I really loved the central position and the familiar atmosphere. Beautifully renovated old building with all modern amenities. Ulrike at the reception is an amazing lady, representing the friendly welcome policy. The breakfast was exquisite! Definitely a place to come back for a longer stay. Salzburg and the surroundings are full of beautiful treasures to discover!

This place is a very special place… the building being 700 years old has been made into a very romantic hotel right in the City Center of Salzburg, just minutes (walk) away from everything. We did a 24hour Salzburg pass which allowed us to get into all the main attractions while we explored the city. The Hotel itself is amazing we were greeted by our host, who even helped us with walking directions to the hotel, a glass of wine was provide as we entered, and the host gave us so much help on exploring the city…. We had a fabulous time exploring. Breakfast was included and was wonderful! Everything was simply amazing for our stay here!!!!

It was understandably and fairly expensive in the peak season for summer music festival.

Super location! Only one minute walk from central square of cathedral. Unlike the expectation for the old hotel in Europe, all equipments are new and functional including sufficient hot water from shower and bath tab even on the top floor. Small roof balcony from spiral staircases is charming for coffee break and breakfast. Finally Ulrike at reception takes care all for visitors kindly and cheerfully, Super!!!
