We liked everything!

We loved the view from our room. We were so grateful to be upgraded - that was a lovely surprise! We loved the cafe. Because it was cold outside, it was so nice to come inside and know we could always get something to eat. We loved the staff. They always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.

Despite the old and steel staircase into the property, this is a true gem. Old merged with the new. Room clean, very large and comfortable. Access to main street is accessible through the back entrance to the hotel. We were sad to leave this hotel. A truly enjoyable and memorable experience.

We were up graded to a room on the top floor .that was nice but the tub and shower were installed in an area with a Slanted roof making it difficult to stand for a 6’ person.

Due to it being an old property there were a lot of stairs and winding corridors. It was confusing at first. The tub/shower situation was really hard to take a shower for my over 6 ft tall husband.

Beautiful and historic hotel right in the heart of the old town and close walking distance to the Christmas markets. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we got upgraded to a nicer room which had a HUGE bathroom with dual sinks.

I haven't marked the hotel down for this but over the weekend 2 nights we could hear music playing until about 4 a.m. ( this wasn't loud but we are light sleepers and it was just enough to affect our sleep) No other reviews seem to mention this so it may have been proximity of our room (306) - which was otherwise lovely - to a music venue somewhere local. The hotel staff were very apologetic but could not fathom out where noise would be coming from. We did not request a room change as we were coming home. This is a lovely hotel & we would stay again ( but take our white noise player!)

Great location in the centre of the old town within easy walking distance of the main sights and plenty of restaurants. Staff were all so helpful & friendly and we LOVED the coffee shop for daily cake & coffee after a day out in the snow. Really nice buffet breakfast and the breakfast room had a lovely view of the river.

Booked purely on location which was great, but the quality of the staff, room etc was exceptional. The breakfast was brilliant offering both buffet and Al La Carte. Would definitely book again.

Fantastic location and property, I was given a loft room which was bigger than my house. Just two minor gripes, firstly the shower head was way too low so had to be held and the TV didn't work. Very clean, very picturesque, a pleasure to stay.

Our room was huge but sparsely furnished. The wardrobe area was dark, could not see into wardrobe. Furniture was tired. No drawer space. Room was bland, too much hard flooring area with a lack of practical furniture. Road noise woke us early each morning.

Loved everything!

Beautiful, clean, spacious room right in Old Town! They had our room ready early and left us an anniversary treat! Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge! Staff was amazing especially the super friendly, helpful gentleman at the front desk who spoke perfect English! He arranged last minute tickets for us to have dinner and a Mozart concert at the Salzburg Fortress! It was amazing!
