Perfectly located in the historic center of Salzburg (pedestrian zone). Classy & elegant! Very nice & kind young lady at the reception. We got an upgrade as well, thank you! Wonderful stay, the hotel is totally recommended. Ideal to grab the vibes & spirit of this wonderdul town.

We loved our room and the Hotel decor is Beautiful , We requested a room with a walk in shower and got it ! But the shower cú i le is too small and only Minimuim size its not suitable for broadly built or Tall people . There is room for a bigger shower cubicle or take out the bath and replace it with a walk in shower/ wet room but other than that we would definitley stay in this room again and the views are fantastic

Everything , Our double room was one of the Best hotel rooms weve ever stayed in and weve stayed in many hotels throughout throughout the world , Each and every member of Staff were really welcoming and helpfull especially The two ladies who looked after us at breakfast each morning . The hotels location is perfect and everything within walking distance on both sides of the river .

The beds are super firm. Both I and my wife had a hard time sleeping due to the bed being so firm. Some people may prefer harder beds, but generically, it seems like a trend in the hotels at the moment.

The location was wonderful. Everything is within walking distance away. Parking is the only main problem. The room itself was great and clean. Breakfast was nice and quite simple, but sufficient.

You could not steam to the television Netflix or Prime from our iPad and there was no entertainment channel in English.

We could not have asked for a better hotel, it exceeded all our requirements being: Excellent and central location to old town, within seconds of restaurants and cafe scene, large fully equipped and clean rooms, comfortable bed, delicious and generous selection of breakfast menu, fabulous and helpful staff. Will definitely be staying here again.

Everything was really good.

I had to move from another hotel, that was a disaster and this hotel just saved the day! It's located in the center and gives an excellent service. The staff was so responsive and attentive. They helped with the late dinner even after the kitchen was closed.

No bar or lounge, the cafe was often full and customers of the hotel not given a preference.

We liked everything!

We loved the view from our room. We were so grateful to be upgraded - that was a lovely surprise! We loved the cafe. Because it was cold outside, it was so nice to come inside and know we could always get something to eat. We loved the staff. They always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.

Despite the old and steel staircase into the property, this is a true gem. Old merged with the new. Room clean, very large and comfortable. Access to main street is accessible through the back entrance to the hotel. We were sad to leave this hotel. A truly enjoyable and memorable experience.

We were up graded to a room on the top floor .that was nice but the tub and shower were installed in an area with a Slanted roof making it difficult to stand for a 6’ person.

Due to it being an old property there were a lot of stairs and winding corridors. It was confusing at first. The tub/shower situation was really hard to take a shower for my over 6 ft tall husband.

Beautiful and historic hotel right in the heart of the old town and close walking distance to the Christmas markets. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we got upgraded to a nicer room which had a HUGE bathroom with dual sinks.

I haven't marked the hotel down for this but over the weekend 2 nights we could hear music playing until about 4 a.m. ( this wasn't loud but we are light sleepers and it was just enough to affect our sleep) No other reviews seem to mention this so it may have been proximity of our room (306) - which was otherwise lovely - to a music venue somewhere local. The hotel staff were very apologetic but could not fathom out where noise would be coming from. We did not request a room change as we were coming home. This is a lovely hotel & we would stay again ( but take our white noise player!)

Great location in the centre of the old town within easy walking distance of the main sights and plenty of restaurants. Staff were all so helpful & friendly and we LOVED the coffee shop for daily cake & coffee after a day out in the snow. Really nice buffet breakfast and the breakfast room had a lovely view of the river.
