Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyOur room was obviously a smoker’s room. Smoke smell everywhere. The hotel was fully booked and we stayed only one night, so we could not switch rooms. Staff tried to reclean the room using scent spray, this did work for a few hours - however such a room should not be offered to non smoking people.
Sauna was very nice. Breakfast also really good. Friendly staff.

GermanyDinner closes by 9 PM. We had chosen the half board option but couldn't use the dinner option as we reached late. We weren't aware of the Dinner cut off time. Hence be very sure before choosing the half board option.
Beautiful location! It is outside Innsbruck but not too far! Lovely place. Rooms are cozy and staff is friendly and courteous. Breakfast is good.

United Stateslocation was great, the sauna and wellness area excellent and the staff was very friendly, nice and caring. We had to extend our stay due to transport issues and they immediately made sure we could stay in the same room and checked in with us- extended the welcome card and even offered us to get dinner there even though we did not reserve. Our one night became 3 nights and we would have stayed even longer.

United KingdomThere was no air conditioning in our room, probably not a problem most of the time but being on the top floor it was quite warm. As noted above it felt a bit short staffed and frenetic, staff doing several jobs, I had to wait quite a while for a bar person to appear in the bar to serve drinks, not a big issue but took the edge off the experience.
We had a large family room on the top floor, of the older? Building, the hotel had a lift. The room was a generous size and had a nice balcony, a real bonus. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom and room were well equipped. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal at the hotel, the food was good value without being exceptional, the restaurant experience felt a bit chaotic, we didn’t really think they had enough staff on so it all felt a bit frenetic, this was a Friday night so the hotel was quite full. Igls is a short distance from innsbruck , about 7 kilometres I think, it is easy to visit via bus, tram bike or even walking for the very energetic as there are footpaths/ bike routes to the city. Overall a good experience but not not quite excellent

United KingdomI understand, that lots of people like to go there, but it would be great, if the tourist groups who arrive by bus for one night would all go on the first floor, as they can be quite noisy in the morning when they leave the hotel at 6-7 am, and if they all would be on the first floor, there’s of the guests wouldn’t be disturbed.
Its just simply nice and one feels welcome:0)

United KingdomThere isn't much to do in the evening as it's only in a small village, parking is very limited and the hotel could do with some upgrading to rooms and hallways etc
Breakfast was exceptional with a huge choice, free coffee downstairs during the day and having a swimming pool etc was nice

DenmarkBreakfast was a bit chaotic due to the placing of food. People ran back and furth, so organising of the placement of food could minimize some of the chaotic Collection of food. Please also note There is no fridge at the hotel Room either, so if yoy expect to store water, food etc. It is not possible.

I‘m happy I stayed here and not in Innsbruck. Centrally located in a cute village, the hotel had everything we needed. Good for vacation with kids or older people. Well connected to Innsbruck and Patscherkofel cable car/Pine Path hiking route.

United KingdomThe hotel seats you at one specific table for your entire stay at the hotel. Being a solo traveller, the table assigned to me was in the corner of a small room in the restaurant for 1 person and quite small. There was never a menu for the dinner on the table as other tables had and sometimes no napkins etc. It felt a forgotten table. I was also shouted at by one staff member for not having signed the bill for the dinner i had the previous night. I was not told the procedures and felt that was a bit rude. If I have a specific table for the entire stay, the costs for any extras should be on my bill. On my last morning, someone else was seated at my table so not sure what that was about. I asked for another table and was kindly given by one of the ladies on the floor. So I am saying this as good for people to be aware and not get similar treatment. Otherwise everyone else was very nice.
The location was ideal. The reception team were very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. The restaurant staff were kind and friendly.
