The hotel is in St Gilgen Abersee rather than St Gilgen which I hadn't realised. However there is a regular bus so getting to St Gilgen was easy. The breakfast was ok but not great. As is common in Austria no kettle to make tea.

Quiet location with charming views. Room was exceptionally clean. A very good shower.

Beautiful quiet location. Lovely spacious bedrooms, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK, but rather repetitive. Fresh fruit would have been better than canned variety. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice to have a balcony.

Located in a very quiet area with ample parking. The room was really big for 1 person (maybe they gave us bigger room?). Breakfast is good enough and I enjoyed. WIFI was not "so fast" but it's good enough, I was able to have video call and watch Youtube.

Great location. A short walk to the lake and 20 min bike ride to St. Gilgen or Strobl. very quiet and peaceful setting. Room was very clean and view of surrounding mountains was amazing.

The rooms are a bit small and everything is a bit outdated. The private beach is remote and you need to take your car.

Charming location. Great for a road trip in the Lakes area. Free parking. Great breakfast. Great hosts. A magical hotel with character, beauty and romantic atmosphere.

The hotel is a bit fur from the lake. When we arrived we asked if there is a dinner and the owner said that 'he is not a restaurnt', and that he serves only brakefast (we saw them cooking, but we thought maby it's for the family only). When we came to the hotel at the evning we suprised when we saw at list 20 people sitting, eating and drinking dinner... even then, no body ask us if we want to eat as well. we felt a bit uncumfotable so we went up to our room. Very disappoining. Also the room had a bad smell, and the sheets were old.

The back yard was nice. The hotel has a nice privet beach.

Wish it was on the water, but for the price and distance from the water it’s fine. you’ve still got amazing mountain views.

Beautiful balcony views, easy to find, clean, comfortable, close to the (cheap) ferry to get to the other side (there is a more expensive scenic one or a cheaper one near the campground down the road from it—less than 10 minute walk).

Excellent location near the Wolfgangsee, very quiet. Family-owned hotel, very nice and helpful staff. Rooms rather big, spotless and very clean, beds are comfy. Very tasty and delicious breakfast buffet.
