How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room is not cleaned during the stay, everything has to be asked at the check-in counter.

Bathroom had very little space around the sink and no destined hanger for the handtowel near. Room was small, very little room to move or put stuff, no fridge only one chair in a room for two. Paying was a bit strange, they had me putting up my card for ensurence or safety at checkin, and then pay at checkout. A week later my debitcard is still shows that ensurence. It did not actually draw money out of my account but still shows the deposit. Also staff did not inform me abt extra 20 or so euros they were adding to that ensurence if we wanted to use certain services.
Breakfast was good, location was good, modern interior. Friendly staff

Rooms feel quite basic and trivial stuff are missing that make stay less comfortable: - slippers were not provided (in combination with room being quite cold, it's not ideal) - room doesn't have a safe - lacking places to hang towels in bathroom - there is far from enough shelves and cabinets. It's impossible to unpack if you are staying 3+ nights - pillows were uncomfortable - there is no fridge/minibar in room
Hotel is clean and tidy. Everything is new. Check-in and check-out went quickly and smoothly and staff was very polite and friendly. Even though I've seen breakfasts with much wider choice, everything served was very tasty and hight quality.

There was no WiFi available during our stay. This was a real pain. I had work to attend to and my daughter had a lot of homework to do online. It was a real inconvenience. Unfortunately the staff could not get the issues fixed during our stay. The cost of parking was a bit expensive at €15 Euros a day.
Location was good. Clean. Modern.

The staff in the breakfast room were particularly unfriendly. My partner and I had breakfast and the lights were turned down just as we were about to start eating. I politely asked if they could turn them up again because I was also trying to work and they said breakfast was finished. One member was extremely rude to us and then her boss proceeded to come out and raise her voice at us. It is about time that the Austrian economy didn't suffer due to this sort of behaviour. Because of this, I would NEVER stay in this hotel again.

Standard hotel issues. Why on Earth not put a plug point on both sides of the bed(s) so everyone can plug in chargers etc next to them! Bizarrely I am in my 7th hotel of this holiday from several brands and the cheapest I’ve stayed in Holiday Inn Express has one either side with USB on one side (why not both) whereas Ibis and even full Holiday Inns don’t!
Breakfast was good and the stay pleasant. Staff were helpful letting us know where we could go wash our motorbikes. Town was bigger with more going on than initial appearance and good Italian was found for dinner on Google.

A fridge in the room would have been handy.
I didn't want to pay 15 Euros for the kids for breakfast as I knew they wouldn't eat much at all. I would have liked it if there had been a children's option, e.g. cocoa and nutella toast.
