How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Perfect for a late arrival by train into Vienna. Helpful staff. Great dining close to hotel even late at night.

The location is convenient ,the central train station is literally across the road,the staff very friendly.self check out is perfect especially if you are leaving early.

I wasn't expecting something fancy for the price. But even with my low expectations, I was surprised how very basic the rooms are. FYI for those planning to stay here: No coffee/tea-making facility (you need to go down to the main lobby to ask, if you need it), no ref, no safety locker, no telephone. But at least it has a tv, but very limited English channels. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this hotel.
Location was perfect! Right outside Vienna's Central Station, so it's easy to get around everywhere, and there's plenty of food options and some shopping, and yet, very quiet and peaceful area. The hotel itself is very modern, fresh and clean. Bed is very comfortable but pillows could be better though.

Very little facitilities in the room: No fridge, no slippers, just one medium towel, no welcome water, no coffee machine. For the amount of money I paid, I expected a little more.

The pillows! Terrible! And when I asked for exchange they gave me the same. lol. C'est la vie. Could be so much worse.
This hotel is in an ideal location for many purposes. Beyond that the hotel is modern and efficient. It is nothing special for sure but it meets a variety of needs. I am happy to stay in the ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof.

Shower head would keep drooping down. Bed mattresses were too thin. Could do with a mini fridge in the room too. Other than thay was great stay.
Rooms were very modern and comfortable and deffinitly a great size.

check-out time is 12 p.m. Already at 12.02 the housekeeping lady knocked at my door asking if late check-out was required. Very strange. She was unhappy to know that I needed just 5 more minutes to leave.
excellent location close to Belvedere, breakfast was good. Overall Good Value for Money

At check in we had wait some time for the staff member to appear . When he did so he was carrying a pizza . His colleague who was present did not know how to check is in as I think he was in charge of the bar

Staying at Ibis was a perfect solution for us who had to take a flight in the morning: few steps away we could enter the main building of Hauptbanhof and then jump on the train linking to the Vienna's airport. The room was wide enough and confortable, and the same goes for the bathroom, which was clean indeed.

Bed sheet was washed but it had spot on it
The hotel near the train station and it is very comfortable for early morning arrivals and departures. Also it was very good that they checked us in 11. It is also near the belvedere palace and to the tram station, 10 min walk. So overall I liked my stay there. They offer breakfast for 15 euros. I think it was moderate, and can be better.

Really, everything is fine.
I liked the breakfast which is great, and the coffee is great. The check-in is from 15, but when I arrived at 14 nobody said a thing and I got the keys from my room immediately. I've stayed for only one night, but it was exactly what I was looking for: calm stay close to the train station.
