Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaHaphazard check out. As requested, made a 9:00am appointment the day before departure for inspection of apartment prior to checkout. No one turned up and at 9:15am, we decided to checkout ( apartment has no phone to front desk ). Notified the front desk & only then did they call for someone to check. We left at 9:30am nonetheless as we had planned and asked them to notify us that all was ok, which they did later that day
Location close to Metro, well equipped apartment. Only facility lacking was no air conditioner ( our mistake for not noticing this ) - just be mindful in the heat of summer.

BrazilWe could only get one set of keys. The bedroom was small and the bed accessible from only one side. No one at the front desk could explain how to turn on the light over the stove. The housekeeper showed us how on our last day at the apartment.
The main room of the apartment was fairly large, well equipped and easily accessible. The WiFi worked well. The location is very convenient.

NetherlandsThe apartment is really big! It honestly came as a surprise how much room there was for us, we expected much smaller. The kitchen is fully fitted from pots and pans to dishwasher and oven. The bathroom is really nice as well, with a nice bathtub.

Nicely laid out apartment with a dishwasher & washing machine. Comfortable sofa & separate bedroom was great! 24hr reception is convenient, even though in a different building. Fantastic location close to U-Bahn & city centre.

GreeceThe entrance of the building and the way up to the 1st floor were not very appealing. The bedroom was a bit too small. Didn't understand that I had to pick up the keys from the reception of the adjacent hotel.
The place was super clean, almost as it looked like in the photos. Nice TV and appliances. Bathroom was quite good.

United StatesHad trouble with the bed -- too low, mattress too thin and too soft. With a tub that high, you need more grab bars and railings. It would have been nice if the kitchen had come with a few staples, e.g., salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters. I know it's an aparthotel -- but the management treats it as too much of an apartment and not enough of a hotel.
Location couldn't be better -- right on top of an U-Bahn entrance. Kitchen was fully equipped (at least as far as appliances went).

GermanyThere was only one key per apartment. This key had to be left at the reception of the nearby hotel every day. Picking it up was sometimes time-consuming when the lobby was busy. Wifi failed after 3 days for 2 out of 3 apartments and there was no alternative for another 4 days (e.g. alternative hotspot). Communication about checkout and inspection was unreliable. Not really suitable as Business-Apartment.
The apartments were clean, spacious, and the beds were made up properly and nicely.
