Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWhat was there not to like? :-)
We loved everything about Isserwert. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The staff were always available to help. The food was delicious. We ate breakfast and dinner there most days. This hotel is 6 km from Innsbrook yet felt like a world away. It is an a picturesque town that was fun to stroll around, peaceful and one of the favorite places we have been. Although we had a rental car, we used the public bus to get into and out of Innsbruck. It was very convenient and easy to navigate. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

United StatesOur room actually was in the front of the property and close to the road which goes right by the hotel. The road is well used, so with the windows open, traffic noises are heard. Our room was not as clean as I would expect…used wine glasses in the room, some toiletries were half empty, a piece of dried fruit on the radiator. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room and extra glasses.
The setting is spectacular. The evening meal in the main dining room was also very good. The room was fine, but not exceptional..

United StatesThe room was really bright in the morning which makes it hard for me personally to sleep. I suppose if they had black out curtains it would be even better, maybe it was just the room I stayed in was brighter because of the skylight. But I feel bad complaining about that because it was so nice to wake up to sunlight in such a beautiful room, and even get to stay in a room with a skylight.
Absolutely incredible stay. Great balcony view of the Alps, delicious breakfast, wonderful staff, and a truly amazing dinner as well. The room has more than one could ask for, and is stylized in a uniquely modern way. Cozy and artist.

ItalyNothing. There was a rather "farmy" smell at times, but the upside is local produce, including yoghurt and milk directly on sale next to the hotel.
This historic family run hotel opens its arms to all visitors. Everything gets 10/10, from the views, the beautifully designed rooms, easy parking..... The hotel reaches that perfect balance between traditional tyrolese decor in the common rooms, such as the breakfast room, and more modern commodities in the bedrooms. Breakfast was plentiful, varied, and high quality, with local produce and special treats for Easter Sunday, and the evening meal was the best we've had in Austria. The family is welcoming and rightly proud of their amazing 16 generation history in the hotel. You also receive an innsbruck welcome card with free access to all public transport, which includes a bus to Innsbruck that leaves from two steps away from the hotel. So you can leave your car at the hotel and save money on parking in Innsbruck.

United StatesIsserwirt is in the beautiful alpine village of Lans, minutes from Innsbrook. The historic hotel had modern comfortable rooms within a beautiful, family run traditional hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed traditional Tyrolian cuisine in the excellent restaurant and had a great time hiking the area during the day.

AustraliaNo complaints.
The location was fantastic and so was everything else about Isserwirt. The host family has been attentive and so welcoming that we felt at home from the very first day. The restaurant at Isserwirt is also outstanding which meant we ate at the venue most days.

NetherlandsThe hotel is not in the city center, which means you have to either take a bus or drive downhill to the city center. Breakfast was nice but there was not a lot of variety. There is a church across the street which rings its bells every day at 6am, so if you are a light sleeper, maybe close the windows before going to sleep.
The Hotel is located on a hill in a small village called Lans. Our room was quite large and had an amazing view. Plenty of private parking in the hotel and accessible by public transport- line J bus stop is just around the corner and will take you to the city center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a late check in and once they saw us with the luggage they immidiatly recognized us and checked us in quickly. Check in and check out was very quick! No credit card to swipe or forms to sign! everything was smooth.

United StatesThis is a family ran business that’s has been in their family for generations. You can tell immediately when checking in that the hospitality and true Austrian charm is evident. Say hi to the boss Andreas he is the energetic young man that you will see every where from breakfast service to dinner in the restaurant always with a sincere friendly greeting. Ask about the city bus which leaves every 10 minutes from a bus stop nearby which we used everyday to go into Innsbruck and to the other side of the valley. It’s the J bus and it goes peak to peak. It’s also free if you stay 3 night or more. I didn’t have to drive the hole 3 days we were there. Just ask any staff member at the hotel.
