How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Some of the rooms were not updated in comparison to others. No lift for bags. Lots of stairs to carry bags for someone with a bad back.
Beds were very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious.

Loved the location, we were literally 20 min walking from the cable car and only few mins from bus stop to Salzburg town centre. The restaurant was great, serving amazing breakfast. Receptionist went beyond giving us all information and map on the places of interest and getting around. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view

There was no air conditioning and no screens on the windows of the room, but that is the norm for Austria (or Europe for that matter). The bathtub showers were ok but really tight - again the norm for the region.
An excellent, healthy, and varied breakfast buffet. The staff were friendly, accommodating, helpful, and welcoming. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The location in Anif was exceptional - a little out of town but with a regular bus every 20 minutes. Stunning views and a river you could go swimming in just around the corner.

The weak WiFi was the only negative aspect and the reason why I rate them a 9 not 10
Excellent location especially if you are driving an electric car with onsite charging. Ecofriendly hotel with 75KW of solar production. The breakfast spread was awesome. We didn't have to have lunch at all. Short drive from the centre. The bar was super stocked. Icing on the cake was a small stream near the hotel ideal for a swim

No elevator to bring luggage up and no iron or ironing board. We were going a wedding and that would have been helpful. Also, note that there is no air conditioning, although when we were there the temperature was just fine.
Friendly staff, room had a view on the mountains. The breakfast was wonderful and the whole hotel had a cosy feel surrounded by milk farms. Great stay. There is a bus station nearby to take you to Salzbourg without taking the car. The lady at the reception was very helpful !

Unfortunately we missed the restaurant at dinner so we ate a the bar, while it’s ok for vegetarians, no vegan options were available (which I anyways didn’t anticipate.)
The rooms were clean and of a good size. The breakfast buffet was also really nice, with a good selection of local and organic products. The hotel is pet friendly.

We loved the generous bio breakfast, the quality of the food was top. We have also appreciated the location of the hotel, 3 minutes away walking distance from the river and its « swim » spots.

On the other hand, our room was booked for 4 people but in fact it was prepared for two (lack of towels and bedding for the other two people), which, combined with a late check-in, caused a lot of confusion and unnecessary doubts. After consideration, the owner offered a second room for an additional fee. We managed to fit it into our budget, but it wasn't exactly what we were expecting. The bar was closed after 22.00. It is not what you are expecting on Saturday evening,
Breakfast was very large and diverse, worth visiting the hotel just for the breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and made an effort to help resolve any issues.

The beds were soft and the restaurant was pretty good. The staff were friendly and they moved one of their cars for all of us to park our motorcycles under the carport.

At breakfast something was always missing (vegetables, eggs, croissant, juice), and the staff completed these items very late or not at all. Sometimes not enough parking spaces.
Very good organic breakfast! Room, bed, cleaning was perfect, excellent view! A lot of charging stations for electric cars.
