How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Noisy if your room is close to the lift. Noises from some very loud alarm..when I check out the cleaning lady was with hands on her ears..like it's something happening from time to time. Very disturbing and also if you don't know looks like there is some kind of emergency.
Bed was comfortable, breakfast with many options and location is ideal very close from train station and centre as well.

This is a wonderful holiday in a quiet street less than five minutes walk from the station. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The City Centre was a fifteen minute walk.

Coffee pit in bedroom, but the breakfast coffee was delicious!
The breakfast was delicious, and we especially loved that there is a resident cat! The staff was very welcoming. It was a very easy walk to and from the train station.

Room was relatively small but extremely cozy, very comfortable. Breakfast was superb as well, they have everything you need. Location is perfect, as it takes 5 minutes from the central station, which was idea if you have early or late train.

Rooms would benefit from refreshing in the style of the bar area. Stairway would benefit from refreshing as well.

Our room was quite compact with one or two issues. First, the room included a low sloping food ceiling over my husband's side of the bed. He's quite tall and banged his head a couple of times. Also, as others have noted, the frosted glass bathroom door does not offer complete privacy; and the bathroom light is very bright, especially when switched on for a night-time pee! Likely to disturb the sleeping partner. Finally - and this is a one-off, I'm sure - but we suffered a small invasion of wasps in our room in the early morning (late October)! We reported it
A pleasant, clean, medium-sized hotel within a few minutes'walk of the main Linz railway station.The breakfast is included in the price and is really good. There is also a bar. Not sure if there is a restaurant.

No heater, elevator only goes between every second level, we had to carry suitcases.
Guy at reception was a good first impression. Elevator only goes between every second floor. We had to carry suitcases set of stairs. Jusy be aware if you have heavy luggages like us. Rooms are very small. We could not put both suitcase anywhere and have them open at the same time. Room is clean, bed is comfy. Room had no heating. It was cold. Shower is clean, small and no window. Breakfast was fantastic. That was a very positive surprise. Coffee was not instant coffee, but a proper good coffee machine, eggs, bread, juice etc. Highly recommended. Location is about 8mins walking from central station, and a short walk to the city. Check out is 12, which is great

No complaints from us! Room wasn't anything special, but it was comfortable and clean enough - we were out most of the day exploring the city of Linz so we just needed a place to sleep.
Excellent breakfast with high quality breads and good variety/choices. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful! Very close to the Linz train station - thus a perfect location for our purposes (we also were able to walk to the Linz city center).
