Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe arrived in between lunch and dinner and there's nothing really close buy to buy anything hot. There iare no snacks available at the bar.
Very beautiful location. Nice large and comfortable room with a great view. Not far from town and a very popular restaurant. Lots of parking and hosts were very polite and even gave a farewell packet of waffers, which we was kind and enjoyed

NetherlandsThe apartment was huge - 2 bedrooms, living and a kitchen but very old/outdated. I could see a part of the hotel was renovated, but ours didn't. It felt as if we got an old, non renovated room. Half of the hotel is new and half is old (?), if so, I wish I could have a choice. We were 4 people and paid 1200 euro for 2 nights, and for such an old room, it felt not correct. The feeling was as if we were in a small austian mountains cabin. Booking didn't offer pictures for this room. I admit it was super clean but still didn't feel so good for me. The bathroom also had a strange smell (mold?). Religious symbol (Jesus statue in the living room, bedroom and hallway...) felt not correct since we might not feel comfortable with that. .
The hotel is very cute, breakfast is great, pet friendly. The team didn't speak English but tried to help also with our special meal needs. The location is very close to ski areas and we could also have a nice walk in the green area. The spa is also very nice (sauna and relaxation room). The restaurant is wonderful.

United KingdomA restaurant menu in English rather than just German would have been helpful, particularly as being a 4 star hotel.

Beautiful, modern hotel with a family atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and clean. Cleaning is done every day. The staff is helpful and very nice. The hotel has a good restaurant with a la carte menu or the option to have breakfast and dinner prepaid. The menu is very good in both cases, although it is a bit more complicated for those who do not prefer meat. The hotel is a 7 minute drive from the slopes and it is possible to use the ski bus (we used the car). The hotel also has a spacious car park with electric car charging facilities. We recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a quiet place with high quality for their winter holiday. We come to Zillertal regularly and will be happy to return to the hotel again sometime.

Czech RepublicAlmost nobody can speak English from the stuff. You ask in English and they reply in German. No smile, no any interest about us how we feel, no explanation or any welcome information. They were busy all the time and not too kind to us at all. The menu was in German only too.
Everything except the staff.

AustriaWe were missing basic informations about the policies at the hotel. At what time, for how long can I use the wellness area? Do I have to notify somebody before? Can I rent a bike on site or is there any additional service that I can consider to use? What are the packages I can use when ordering a dinner? We paid for all inclusive but were a littlebit confused at the dinner, what is included, what is not. Our waitress was super nice and helpful though, so she tried to explain when we had questions. Their restaurant is very popular in the region and they were very busy, so we couldn't really get anyone at the evenings who could clarify our concerns. They could easily make just an A/4 handout paper with the general informations and leave it inside the rooms, so people wouldn't get confused and would ask less questions. :)
Our room was exceptional. We rented one of the newly renovated suite and it was just perfect. Comfortable, sophisticated interior, beautiful view from our balcony. The food was excellent, lot of options to choose from. Staff was very kind, and our waitress was speaking english as well, that was a great help while ordering food every day.

United StatesThe advertising for the property is a bit misleading. The traditional Tyrol restaurant, which is what the property is best known for, is not available to hotel guests. Hotel guests instead must eat at the much more modern restaurant, which is still quite nice, but not the rustic Austrian Alps atmosphere we were hoping for. Also, only a few rooms have the stunning mountain and valley views that are in all of the pictures. Despite paying $300/night for a Junior Suite, our room faced the other direction and had a view of a parking lot. Finally, you should probably be aware that the staff speaks very little English (and the manager spoke no English). Typically this wouldn't be a problem and would add to the cultural experience, but it presented some serious challenges like when we were asked to pay via international wire transfer when checking out because their credit card processor wasn't working...
It's a very clean hotel, the food was quite good and the property is in a quiet location with really easy access to the train that takes you up and down the valley.

United KingdomThere was a coffee maker in the room but just 1 welcome capsule. Not expecting whole box but for the price of the room 1 capsule per person each day would be a nice treat. No vegan options in restaurant menu.
Nice spa area, very comfy bed, excellent breakfast options with fresh juices -really fresh!! Make it yourself as you like using available electric juicer.
