Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumThe window was open and couldn’t be closed . Was broken. Internet and tv weren’t working . We were in contact with the hotel for 2 hours to get things fixed or change rooms but nothing happened. We got told to go to basement to reset router. Furniture was all cheapest ikea quality . And we couldn’t sleep as window couldn’t be closed and street noice and air Co noise of other room was loud.

IrelandAir conditioning did not work. Room very hot. No curtains woken at 7am from blinding sun and heat. Shower holder broken and leaking boiling hot water, burnt myself several times. One small towel each per person. Lots of hairs which were not ours on the “clean” bed. Tv did not work couldn’t access Netflix or channels. Could not open windows to let in fresh air.

UkraineThere is no check-in desk or receptionist in the hotel, despite this fact they are charging extra 15 euro for check-in after midnight!!! You would be charged for late check-out (after 10am) as well. The smell in the suit is awful. It is impossible to stay in the room while the window is closed. The room has two windows, one of which is broken and is not opening. AC doesn't help with the smell at all. The hotel provides only one towel per person. The soundproofing is extremely poor, you can hear both all the talks of your neighbours and screams of drunk people during the night.
The location is rather good, because it could be easily reached by public transport.

Not at all like in the pictures provided. Trying to find the place took a good 3/4 of an hour. We even got the locals involved. No signage anywhere to indicate where the hotel is. Lift not working. We had to drag heavy suit cases up 5 flights. This would have been okay if we were under 60 years without moon boots and crutches. Geyser 50l allowed for one shower To open a windows total nightmare Little attention to detail. Bed was comfortable

United StatesThe self-check in went alright, but the process can feel confusing. There is an online form that must be filled out beforehand, various links being sent, plus WhatApp chat. I'd recommend a dedicated mobile app to handle it all.
A basic room + bath, clean, mostly as pictured in the listing. Top floor, so only minor street noise (my room was courtyard-facing, which likely makes a difference). Nighttime was reasonably quiet, bed comfortable. Minutes walk to Hauptbahnhof (train station) and some fun food options (Das Columbus, Ferhat Doner). WIFI was good enough. It's clearly a value proposition but was exactly what I needed.

TurkeyNot really helpful staff, they are using spaghettimat in bath, which is generally used in petrol station toilets and outdoor. 2 different pillows and totally uncomfortable, bed is uncomfortable, only 1 middle size towel for 1 week stay, no one asks you to clean your room. Wifi connection is not stable, not a good experience.
