Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United StatesCan be l little hard to find - our car's GPS didn't get us there first time.
Spent just one night while touring the area. Woke up to cows outside our window and a magnificient view of a valley and mountains. Room was suitable for a working farm and had a very comfortable bed. All and all very interesting stay. Would recommend - but do your due diligence as it is sort of peculiar in a special way.

United StatesThe property is absolutely beautiful and the staff couldn't be any kinder. A gorgeous respite just outside of the city, but you feel many miles removed. Having a wonderful restaurant for dinner, was an added bonus for sure, so there was no need to travel anywhere. If we're in this area in the future, we'll definitely try to stay here again.

The owner was very friendly and helped us with everything what we needed. Breakfast was perfect. I love this place a lot and I definitely will be back to stay there for a longer time.

We had a very tasty dinner and our dietary requests were well accommodated for both breakfast and dinner. This was our first time experience in a farmhouse hotel and what a great experience it was.

NetherlandsWe expected to stay at a nice warm family hotel, but this was certainly not the case. First of all, the breakfast is not worth it. They charge 8 pp for just some jams in plastic, coffee and 4 pieces of bread for two. For some slices of cheese they charged us 4 euros extra. The worst we had in all of Austria for the most money. We also had dinner in the restaurant, where we were scammed. The waitress offered us to try some schnapps, and kept insisting after we thanked politely. Eventually they charged us 20 extra for these couple shots. Room was very basic. Some lights were not working, shower head was broken. There was no cleaning done, and our towels were taken. When we asked about this, they told us to just go get new ones ourselves from some drawer.
Location was good, just outside of Innsbruck, although if you don't have car it's a bit of an adventure to get there.
