How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was good.
Location close to metro is very good. Nice that we could park nearby and inexpensively. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs. Lovely and helpful hostess.

A slight damp smell that we couldn't get rid off despite frequent airing. The smell however is not overpowering, and we could only smell it upon entering.
Jenny is a great host. Her apartment is clean, well equipped, and close to the city transportation (metro, busses, tramways). It has a separate WC from the bathroom, and a large balcony overlooking the garden below.

It was very comfortable with everything needed for a family and also for work. Such as some small toy, step stool for a child to reach basin or iron, good internet connection. I want to highlight the kindness and flexibility of the host. She was always there to help us.

Unpleasant smell from the sewage system
Suitable for a family Location is close to the bus, metro and tram stations. Near to shopping mall and supermarkets in the area around. Calm, clean and comfortable. We were able to hear the beautiful sound of the birds every morning The host is very helpful, we booked the apartment very late and arrived to the site in half an hour from the booking and the apartment was not ready yet but she allowed us leave the luggage on the apartment till preparing everything to us. We backed after an hour and all was ready

Spacious flat located in a great area: easy access to public transports ( for getting to the city). Restaurants, shopping center are just around the corner. Very clean and comfortable Host super friendly and very helpful. Her recommendations are very useful

We liked everything :)
The location was perfect for us, U1, shopping mall and public bike rental service were all close, so we could reach the city center fast without problems and with various options. The accomodations was quite comfy, bright and airy.

Nothing special. Just an advice maybe - it would help if the host would spend a bit more time explaining how appliances should be used, instead of us asking them afterwards through IM. This is not a complaint, it's an advice.
We liked the whole package. The location is very good, near U1 metro line, easy to reach with the car as well. The host was very friendly and helpful. Met us upfront to give us the keys and the parking ticket personally. The host was also accessible all the time through instant messaging which helped a lot. The flat was spacy and very clean. All in all we are very satisfied.

It was a tad cold for us. The air con was set up to a maximum of 22 degrees celsius, and the owner asked us to take the shoes off at the flat entrance. The pillows were a bit flat out. I needed about 3 to have a nice sleep.
Close to the underground transportation. Easy to be found. Friendly staff , free coffe, good value for money paid. Located near the U1 undeground, it was easy for us to travel were ever we needed. Close to 2 supermarkets( billa and spar).
