The apartment is okay but outside everything really needs an upgrade.

Im being asked to review Palais Schottentor, the apartment I booked far in advance but was not given to us but instead we were given a different property few days before our arrival. I was disappointed so to speak but we need a place to stay . Anyways, the alternative apartment was okay, it was big and comfortable and perfect for our group of 9. A few minor issues like one bathroom has a sink that we can’t use because the water stopper just won’t come off , we have to carry so many luggage on a flight of stairs to access the elevator , no lobby in this place, it took us awhile to get the key out from a depository outside the door but overall it was a comfortable stay.

Only people who can sleep next to the tram should sleep in the streetfront bedroom :) The other bedrooms are very quiet.

A bit clearer instructions about the check-in (booking.com had old instructions about picking up keys at a different location) would have been nice, but after a few messages, all was clarified (and check-in was with a keybox).

There was nothing that we did not like - the only somewhat annoying thing we had to figure out was how to unlock the front door to the apartment the first time. There are a few locks that you have to turn a certain way to get them open; after doing it a few times we got the hang of it. Just be prepared to mess with it a bit the first time when figuring out how to unlock it!

This property was the epitome of elegance in Vienna. Located right near the heart of the city, it was extremely spacious and so wonderfully decorated. There is a small elevator inside the building which made it easier for us to get our luggage up to the floor. The bedrooms were large; plenty of closet storage and remote controlled air conditioning if needed! It really was an overwhelming stay in the best possible way; would definitely stay here again if we ever decide to visit Vienna in the future.

the check in office is about 20mins away from the actually apartment. not a big deal for us since we are driving. but for someone with luggages from the airport might be inconvenient. also the wifi router does not cover the entire apartment. I suggest they can install several extensions.

There are a few things on which I believe they can improve. 1. Given the (very) high price paid, the need to leave a 500€ deposit on top of the amount already paid in advance seemed a bit much. 2. The apartment can fit a Lot of people, we were 6 and there was only 1 key to the outside door and 2 keys for the apartment. As during the weekend the street door is closed, it was not easy to coordinate our different times of arrival and many commitment in the city. We asked for another key, but got a big no as a response. 3. While the cleaning was fine, there was were only 2-3 toilet paper rolls for everyone for the whole period of our stay. Likewise, we were also told that we should buy the trash bags because the apartment only provided one (which is not even enough to sort out the different types of recycled trash). 4. You have to go pick up the key at their office which is quite far from the city centre, and it added at least one extra hour to our check in process. For the price paid (1.600€ for 4 nights), we expected a better service.

The apartment is great, a luxury pick for sure. Well located.

There was nothing wrong with the apartment.

The rooms were huge and extremely comfortable! Big beds, closets and windows. I needed a desk so I could study and it offered one. There were four bathrooms, two of which had shower / tab and two which had toilets. That was very convenient for our family of seven. Very good location. Super clean and well taken care of. Super market, tram and pub in a close distance! We absolutely loved the place!

Only issue we had with the property was the collection of the keys which was from their office which is a long way away. That was extremely inconvenient. Better to have a locked box or something similar. Having said that, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Another inconvenience was that we were only provided with one set of keys. For a group of 7, that made it necessary to make special plans when we went out in different groups so that whoever got back first could access the apartment.

It was a beautifully laid out apartment. The bedrooms were really large. Bathrooms were great too with heated floor in one of them. Well equipped kitchen. Location was convenient to walk to local transport and some shops and restaurants. Not far from the city attractions either on foot or by the local trams. Perfect for a family holiday.

This apartment is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. It is massive, and just beautiful inside. Not to mention very clean, comfortable and greatly located. The building it is in is also very nice.
