How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A place where you can relax, very beautiful surroundings, places for skiing nearby. The host is very hospitable and the apartment is clean, equipped with everything you need. We will definitely come back

The access to the main highway is a bit tricky but not a big deal. The road at access in the 2 directions to the main axis.
Very nice host, helpful and available for anything . The apartment is fully equipped, comfy and spacious.

Amazing hosts (typical Hungarian hospitality;). The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, and renovated. Free parking spots right before the house. You can find here everything you need for a perfect holiday :) Strongly recommend for everyone traveling with family.

Nothing to be mentioned. There is only one bathroom and one toilet which may be an issue for bigger parties as the apartment sleeps up to 6 people, but it was OK for our stay as one family.
This apartment is very clean and spacious in a quiet location, has fully equipped kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee. The hosts are very helpful. We liked the convenient location close to ski resorts of Semmering / Stuhleck.

We like everything. The apartemant is large azt cosy! The kitchen is well equiped, and the host is really kind and helpful! The neibourhood is really quite!

The heating was turned up abit high for my liking and I tried to turn it down but it didn't do much 🤷. Bed in the master bedroom was quite creeky and kept waking my partner up.
Ervin was very friendly, the place is very well kept, and clean.

The toilet is located quite far from the bathroom.
The property has a perfect location for those who want enjoy skiing in Semmering or Stuhleck. The apartment is spacious (suitable for families) and very comfortable. The parking is located in front of the house. The owner is very kind. We enjoyed one night here but it was indeed a relaxing time.

This is a spacious apartment with 3 separate bedrooms and living room and equipped kitchen. Since it is located in a small village, it is very quiet. Otherwise, you can reach Semmering in 15 minutes by car and the Appartment is close to S6 motorway.

It was absolutely perfect!
Palma has an immaculate welcoming apartment! Perfectly suitable for families or groups of up to 6! The apartment is fully equipped and spacious! Every small detail you think about was already thought of by Palma! We stayed for a ski vacation. The location of this apartment is literally perfect! We hope to return over and over again! Palma was super sweet and made our visit perfect! She is a lovely host and very professional with her apartment! Thank you so much Palma!

Our navigation map seemed to have a hard time with the apartment location, so for reference it is in the center of town, just across the street from a great deli/restaurant - Gasthaus Haselbacher.
The accommodations and hosts are fantastic! The pictures online do not do this place justice. The rooms were much bigger than expected and the apartment is light, extremely clean, and very well equipped. The hosts were wonderful - friendly, communicative, and their hospitality was unmatched. We were just passing through but had a very restful stay and now wish we had booked for longer. We will definitely return to explore the beautiful area, and would give the accommodations 5 stars if we could!
