It is located next to a sheep farm and I wasn't fond of the smell. Didn't bother the rest of the family, though - they actually liked that.

The proprietors are wonderful - very friendly, charming and helpful. Rooms are clean and well maintained. There is an elevator, which is not always the case for small hotels and B&Bs. Right next to.a bus stop for convenient travel. We didn't have a chance to use the sauna - next time!

Every aspect of Pension Baldwin was top notch. If we were to pick anything out it would be the customer service standards of the owners. Nothing was too much trouble, everything we requested was provided.We hope to be able to stay again in future.

We had lovely view from our balcony.From left hand side we could see the castle from right hand side the mountains.In the room we had free botle of water, mini bar, hot water machine for tea and coffe.The owners are really nice.We had high quality and wide choice of breakfast.There is a bus stop in front of the pension which take you to the center.I would tell this place rather a 4* stars hotel than a pension. If we come to Salzburg again we would definetly stay in this place again!

Lack of an English TV channel or Netflix but that its a very minor point.

The rooms are very spacious and have large bathrooms. We had a large balcony that was lovely to sit out on with a coffee in the morning and view the mountains. The breakfast was very good with a slight difference every day. Daniella and Simon are very friendly and gave us great advice about getting around. There is a bus stop right out side with a 10 minute ride into town. You can get tickets easily online. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I don't think it could have been much better. We loved everything about the property. My only feedback is that it's unfortunate they only accept cash payment (no credit cards), as we had to scramble to get cash from ATMs before arrival (the payment information on the Booking.com page wasn't clear to us, which is the fault of the Booking layout. The reservation is held with a credit card, which that is clearly stated. However the note about cash payment at the property was in tiny type at the bottom of the page, and should have been more prominent) but that was a small inconvenience for such a wonderful experience.

Charming, quiet and delightful; fantastic breakfast with a wide variety of options, including made-to-order eggs! Spotlessly clean and comfortable, in a semi-rural setting with great views, and only ten minutes by bus from downtown Salzburg. The hosts were so warm and welcoming.... and very helpful with travel suggestions, restaurant reservations, etc. The bus stop is right out front, and there's a great deli across the street for delicious pick-up meals.

There was nothing to dislike about the property.

The property is close to Salzburg and easily accessible by bus. The food is delicious and the facilities are beyond clean. The owners are delightful people and the fact that they spoke almost flawless English was impressive. We felt very welcome.

We really liked the location as it was a very easy bus ride into town, but quiet and country-like.  The setting was just lovely! The breakfasts were truly amazing and proprietors were friendly and very helpful!

Stayed for 3 nights in this lovely accommodation. Owners were welcoming and helpful. Room was comfortable with a great shower and nice balcony. Was also air conditioned. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Bus stop right outside to go into town for 3 euros. Would gladly stay here again.

Quaint. Love the location, somewhat rural, great accommodations, and the air conditioning worked great. We got a pretty good feel for local living and relaxed .

Cushions a little too light but this depends how you are used to and I am working un the Hotel supplies. The fridge is quite little if you may need it to store stuff you may have bought like in our case. During our stay the weather was not good and many times there was undrained water in the parking area so we had to care not to get wet. If this may help the structure to consider as for all the other point the stay was outstanding.

The kindness of the family is simply great. Always smiling and asking us how we were feeling or if we had some need. Breakfast fresh clean and quite. Comfortable bed, nice view on the green, wonderful bathroom, cozy underroof space. All comfort in the room, with quite space in it. I would suggest the structure to anyone.

During my recent trip to the picturesque town of Salzburg, we had the pleasure of staying at the charming Pension Ballwein. From the moment we arrived, we was greeted with warmth and hospitality by Simon and Daniela, making us feel right at home. Simon and Daniela were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their attentive nature and willingness to assist with any inquiries or requests truly made a positive impact on our overall experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious and diverse breakfast provided each morning. Additionally, the cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable. Housekeeping services were carried out regularly, and I always returned to a well-maintained and tidy room after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location of Pension Ballwein was also ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions and scenic spots. All in all, my stay at Pension Ballwein was a memorable one, largely thanks to the friendly and welcoming Simon and Daniela. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely pension to anyone visiting Salzburg, and we look forward to returning in the future.
