We can't think of anything the hosts could have done to improve. Everything was exceptional!!!

Pension Ballwein was the nicest place we've ever stayed and set the bar very high for every other place going forward. It exceeded our expectations in every way - comfort (the hosts thought of everything!!), cleanliness, amenities, wonderful breakfast and the hosts were amazing. We would highly recommend Pension Ballwein and it was so convenient to have the bus stop so close so we never needed to drive during our 3-day stay.

We stayed for 3 nights. Super place. We got a very big nice room with balcony. Fridge was nice. Nice parking space. Exellent breakfast and the hosts are so friendly. We will come back.

We stayed at pension Ballwein for 6 nights and it was great! The location is perfect, easy drive to all attractions near Salzburg, and arriving to city center is very easy by bus or car. The breakfast was everything you need, and the hosting family is very nice and welcoming (your little girls are adorable!)

The room was cozy and clean. Owners were really helpful and taking care of the guests. The breakfast was really good and delicious. You can easily access to the hotel via bus 21(the bus station right in front of the pension) and this bus also provides direct access to the city center and Salzburg attractions. Lovely hosts, attentive and willing to answer all our questions. Also their cute kids, in summer holyday but very well behaved. Excellent breakfast, very clean rooms, good mattresses. The airconditioner worked.

We had a room with a gorgeous mountain view! Great breakfast and free parking on the terrain. You can take the bus to the city centre. The owners are very friendly people and will try very hard to help you out with anything!

Welcoming friendly hosts and a lovely well looked after property. Spotless, clean and a lovely haven just outside the city with excellent public transport links. Breakfast was fantastic

It would have been nice to have some amenities at the hotel a cafe or bar or something to do in the evening however this is a family run establishment with young children s understandable.

The location of Pension Ballwein was excellent you had the best of both worlds as the location was quiet and the views amazing and yet you were just a short bus ride from the city centre. We purchased the Salzburg card which we could use for the bus and attractions.

Location was a bit far from the centre so buses were always needed to get anywhere although these were regular and reliable. Had some noise from neighbours talking outside one night and cigarette smoke from them when we opened the windows. Having to pay in cash was a bit of a pain so glad we remembered before we checked out

Breakfast was good. Freshly cooked eggs were available on request. Room was comfortable and fairly quiet. Daniela and Simon were helpful and friendly.

Requirement to check in and arrive no later than 7 p,m. can be difficult when arriving after a long day's travel, When asked, answer was "We do not have a night porter." Bedroom I had was a bit small. Breakfast room is a little small and crowded, Breakfast buffet selection is a bit limited but what was there was good quality. Somewhat hard to find as the place is out of town in a kind of suburb.

Well designed and absolutely spotless room and building. Good quality breakfast ingredients. Fresh fruit (plums, apples, mandarin oranges, sliced pineapple) that tasted of what they are. Egg dishes are graciously offered and made to order, including omelettes, Plenty of free parking, As a relatively new building there are no steps to drag luggage up and down. Rare for Europe, anti-bug screens are on every window, Very quiet at night, even when windows are open,

A friendly welcome would have been nice. Arguing with a guest upon arrival, over vaccination issues (having previously accepted the vaccination certificate in writing!) - well, is neither elegant nor friendly - to my eyes.

The location is great and wonderful, close to the city center.

The property was spotless and had wonderful views of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of choices. The room and balcony was very large and well equipped, including an air conditioner which was essential in 34 degrees!

They do NOT take credit cards as payment for the stay. The bill MUST be paid in cash. The location is convenient to public transportation. But is not convenient if you want to be able to return to your room during the day.

Hosts were great. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
