How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The staff was very hospitable and efficient. The location was perfect for walking around, Cafe Central was just across and had a great breakfast there. The hotel was very clean and aircon was sufficient for the hot weather. Jun, the doorman was very jolly and would greet us and advise us where to go and eat!

Not really anything to dislike about the property.
This hotel has the up-to-date comforts in the middle of Vienna's old-world charm. Location was excellent as many points of interest were well within walking distance. Stephanplatz is a short 5 minute walk in one direction and the Hofburg area as well. Their breakfast a bit expensive but very good selection and options.

The valet parking was not advertised. It would have been helpful to know ahead of time. This was our first time in Europe and not used to having to park in an off site garage. Better signage would have made the hotel easier to find. GPS sent us to a street that had been permanently closed. Not the hotel’s fault but with one way streets we couldn’t get to it.
The hotel offered free valet parking. That was great since we were in Vienna for the first time and the closest garage was several blocks away.

charged me for the water but did reverse when I complained - it was £ and no breakfast that would of been extra but location and room space was great - it would of been nice to be upgraded they hinted but I had to join as a member which I did but they said the upgrade would be next time Went to use the steam room but it wasnt working apparently I should tell recieption before but I didn't know this as no room info

Would have been good to be provided complementary water daily as we were charged for what we thought was complimentary water.
Generous sized room. The hotel location is perfectly located for sightseeing by foot. Very clean. Overall, it was a great hotel and we will look to stay here again.

The hotel is excellent. A scpacious and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast . Reception staff were very nice and gave excellent service. A 10 minute walk from most attractions. We will return to this hotel

price is couple hours change,if you choice this hotel better book earlyer,last minute should more 100€ cost.
if you arriving to hotel you meet with very very friendly personal they do for you everything what possible.i was in this hotel more times personal not much changes this is very good sign. Breakfast is more as exzellent in this hotel. Fresh everything and you can order warm food,they made like you ask and very tasty,super friendly personal in restaurant to.i can just recommend this hotel,4 star but service is 5.

Construction place next to the hotel and directly in-front of our window (restoration of a complete building). No influence to us, because we stayed during public holiday and weekend. for other guests could be a topic. There was no information when we did the booking - should be done in advance (days and time of the construction work).
