Great owner and hotel staff. The little dog was great too. He was very friendly. Location close to everything. Great food in the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Great value for the money.

Water took a few minutes to warm for shower every morning.

The hotel is clearly being run with skeleton staff on a shoestring and hotel guest seem a low priority. Arriving at approximately 17:45 on a Tuesday the front desk unmanned. An envelope (name misspelt) had been left for us there. We had not received any advanced check-in information any advanced welcome. Staff seemed preoccupied with the restaurant. We needed to find the car park and found someone who fetched the manager who pointed us to the car park and the lift. He did not welcome us to the hotel, wish us a pleasant stay, or ask if there was assistance we might require and disappeared immediately. The bathroom badly needed a refit, last completed probably in the 1970s. The traditional furniture was unkempt and neglected looking. Had someone oiled and waxed the lovely wood it could have added charm. There was no information about the hotel or the local area in the room, just a note of how to access the WiFi. However, the WiFi was so unreliable that it was like entering a pre-digital age. That might be a welcome rest on holiday, but in the absence of information and anyone to ask, it was very frustrating and inconvenient. Breakfast was appalling. The healthy options were plain yoghurt and a very ordinary fruit salad. Bread baskets were full of other peoples' crumbs which must have been at least a day old as we were the first into breakfast, clearly unacceptable food hygiene. Other options were horrible ultra-processed meats and cheeses and very cheap jams in plastic packets plus some cheap sugary cereals. The coffee machine made revolting coffee and boiled eggs arrived very undercooked on the first day. Staff seem to have poor safety awareness (leaving slip and trip hazards around the hotel and guests appear a low priority. I would strongly advise against staying at the Hotel Krone in Schruns, which is a shame as given its location and architecture it could be lovely.

The hotel is an attractive building in a convenient and attractive location at the centre of town. The sauna area is nicely done and a pleasant place to relax. Their pasta and pizzas were very good. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. However, it is not living up to its 4-star status and offers extremely poor value for money.

Very bad experience from the first minute we arrived. Do not expect any welcome, any service not even functioning facilities. There were many disappointments here are a few: SERVICE: In short absolutely no attention is given to hotel’s guest: - welcome desk was always closed (you get your key in an envelope) - there was no staff in the hotel. - Their focus was the restaurant and even there it was a weird experience. - Parking was an issue People mean well but the hotel is completely unorganised. If you have a question or a problem as mentioned above, you will not find anyone. We had to turn to their restaurant, there they were running in every direction to serve the tables, and no one paid any attention to hotel guests waiting. After being ignored for a while, I had to stop someone to simply enquire about the breakfast time. She did not know and asked me to wait for a while for the manager (who did not come). FACILITIES Regarding the facilities no hot water was available. We could not shower that evening we were asked to be patient. We gave-up at 11:30 PM. This was delightful after a full day of skiing… If you need help or are running out of patience, you need to physically step into the kitchen. You will find everyone there but do not expect much. Our stay was everything but smooth and relaxing. We were so happy when we left for another establishment in Schruns. For those who know the reference this is a living proof that “Fawlty Tower” exists.

no one arrived for the check in. I called 17 times and sent two texts and messages via booking.com. we had to find another hotel and we were on foot. I recommend you don’t stay there.
