Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyCompared to last year there was absolutely NOBODY in the Kids club this year + no minidisco as well Our room seemed to have a kitchen but we never got the keys to open it AirHockey table didnt have pucks to play with You should do a better effort to get the food signs right....there was a chocolate cake that had alcohol and all kids eating it Ideally it makes more sense to have more fresh fruit variety during breakfast, not in the dinner
pool, sauna, the service in the taverna was great....same in the restaurant!

United Arab EmiratesOur room was only cleaned once during 5 days. We could have been told on arrival about the guest card that gives free public transport and discounts. All check ins were after 3, which meant queues and waiting at reception, this could have been achieved with checkin earlier, but room allocation at 3. Hotel taxes should be charged at the start of the stay.
Rooms were spacious, the bartender in the taverna was very friendly. The hotel was unique and very interesting with the castle theme. They gave each guest a free drink for arrival and the breakfast was well stocked.

United KingdomWe were surprised to have to pay 9 Euros to park in the underground car park as all the exterior spaces were full. They did however give us a complementary welcome drink.
Exceptionally friendly and professional staff. Quirky hotel and it was lovely having breakfast with our dog on the outside patio. There was also a nice riverside walk just outside.

IrelandThe room was very warm with no option to control temperature other than opening the window.
- Very old castle, which was interesting to walk around. - half board option worked well, and the food quality was decent every evening. - Very attentive and friendly staff. - They have supervised kids club on in the evening time for an hour, which my son was very happy about! - The pool area is great, and there's lots for kids to do around the hotel.

NetherlandsMore dog tolerant than friendly as nowhere to walk the dog on grass and despite extra cost nothing for the dog (bowl) they placed us in a room under a tunnel, up an elevator, down some small stairs and along a corridor... not convenient when you have kids and a dog!
The hotel is special, old buildings and very large. Room was impressive but warm, had a kitchen.

United StatesDistance is a thing when looking at the map it looks close to the train station. Actually it is -- but you go down the hill to get there. Highly recommend getting a Uber or Taxi to go back - it is not a fun hill to pull a bag up. Places to eat in the area were limited to only a few places open.
So if you want to stay in a Castle in the dead of winter in the Alps, this is a wonderful place! Check in was easy - and the reception staff spoke English (and Italian) and really do such an exceptional job in making you feel welcome! I would give any hotel that has such a team a 10 ranking just because they set the bar so high in all they do! Outstanding service adn professionalism too! The castle takes a bit to get orientated with - but in no time was able to find my room as well as the Finnish sauna. The room was super clean and very large -- and it was nice and cozy. Plenty of hot water for the shower in the morning - though late at night it was just warm. The bed was super soft! I liked the bar in the castle - its whole set up was very cool - and well worth stopping off there for a drink. They do have a very large spread for breakfast in the dining room. It is also a lot of fun looking through the castle itself and its history. All around great place to stay.

Czech RepublicEverything was fine till the moment we were leaving. The hotel charged us twice for drinks at the same evening and we had to pay it even thought it was a mistake (the receptionist confirm). They said they can’t easily change the invoice so they will deal with that later via email. I was trying to contact them several times and the response was always the same “Your request is under examination . The Direction will then inform you.” They have never came back to me and it’s been almost 3 months!! I am really disapointed about this situation because the stay was really nice.

GermanyThere is a free parking lot across the street from the hotel but there is space only for a few cars. You can park your car in hotel’s underground parking garage for 9€ a day. This is not a negative thing, just an information.
Everything was great! The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was bright and spacious and was cleaned every day. The pool is big enough for kids to have fun in the shallow part while the adults can enjoy the deeper part. We also enjoyed the sauna very much. Breakfast buffet was very good, there is something for everyone. There was also coffee, tea, juice etc.

Czech RepublicIt is not a good value for the money. We booked the hotel last minute with a discount and I would be really unhappy if I paid the full price! Even for the money paid, the quality wasn't what we expected. The hotel is very old and worn down. E.g. the curtain in our room was torn, there was mold in the bathtub joints. We barely got any information on our arrival. In the dining room, the staff didn't pay attention to the needs of the clientele. At one point, none of the three coffee machines worked and the staff didn't notice for long 10-15 minutes until they were told about the problem. In the morning, the tables weren't cleaned when people left so guests coming later on came to dirty tables. At dinner, the waiter only came to ask for a drinks order when we were eating dessert. Some of the saunas in the wellness complex were out of order. The pool would use some renovations. The layout of the hotel is quite inconvenient. If your room is located in the "new building" it is quite a walk to reach the exit or the dinning room. Walking back and forth for skiing, dinner, breakfast and dog walks got quite annoying. It would help if the new building had a separate exit.
The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, food was rather good. The hotel is close to Spar which is convenient. The ski resort is reachable by car in about 5 minutes. It is a little difficult to find a parking spot there but definitely doable. We didn't use the ski bus.

NetherlandsBathroom really needs an upgrade. It's very outdated, nowhere to place your toiletries (just one small area above the sink). WiFi connection was not very stable, lost the connection several times. Enough choices at the buffet (breakfast and dinner), but quality of the food was hit & miss.
Staff is really friendly. Pool was nice. Underground parking is big. Ski slopes are just a few bus stops away. Plenty of choice at the buffet in the evening. Beds were comfortable.
