Incredible location, incredibly beautiful building with Renaissance arcades, incredibly stylish, modern and perfectly clean apartment. Everything was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!

I heard my neighbors talking and laughing through the bedroom wall at night. The bedroom didn't have an airconditioner so we had to use the one in the living room on max power while leaving bedroom door open. I didn't find a broom and a cloth for cleaning. Glass doors in the bathroom were not ideal for toddlers.

The apartment could be very good however the communication process with Smile apartments and the check in process was poor. We had numerous requests to pay outstanding invoices in the weeks leading up to our reservation even though it clearly stated on Booking.com that payment was on arrival. When advising Smile apartments of this, they just ignored our messsages (both written and by telephone) and kept sending demands - we were a little worried that we wouldn't actually have any accommodation on arrival. The key codes we were provided with didn't work and we had to ring someone to assist as there was on one in the office even though it was supposed to be open. The room needed some redecoration as the walls were very dirty and battered and skirting boards were not fixed on properly.

The apartment is very well situated for access from the train station and to wander around the town. Also to visit neighbouring towns and bike along the Wachau Valley which we enjoyed doing. The apartment is well positioned in a small square and with immediate access to restaurants and bars. The apartment was large and comfortable. There are some quaint streets and the Hofbrauam Steinertor restaurant is very good if you want a typical Austrian meal and good beer. Some nice touches in the room such as coffee machine, toiletries, air conditioning.

First, they couldn’t find our booking, which was weird. They upgraded us at no cost, but days and even months after, they attest that we never paid them. Very poor coordination of bookings and payment records. They shouldn’t put their customers through this. Now I have to resurrect my credit card records to prove that I paid them almost a year since I booked the trip. Despite the upgrade and the nice room, they won’t see us again.

The online check in system failed to send the access infornation, so i was unable to get the door code to get in. Then it took quite long time to reach the contact person (and that feels really inconvenient when travelling with kids in hot summer). Missing wifi access data could be bypassed through the router settings).

Perfect location in the city center nearby the train station. Nice and equipped appartment.

The check in process was more complicated than it needed to be. The apartment was like a hotel room rather than an apartment as no kitchen facilities.

The room had been used and not cleaned at our point of arrival. After sending a note to Booking.com, I was contacted by the host. He and his partner came to clean the apartment.

The location of the apartment is great; very central in Krems and easy to find. The receipt of the entrance code worked well and in good timing. We were able to access the apartment with the code without trouble.

Asked for an extra sheet for the bed as i run hot while sleeping. They indicated The sheet would cost 10€ extra what do they have to go out and buy another one. Had the room set at the lowest temp 18 and it was still hot! The other major issue is they charge to clear the refrigerator so i could put my medicine in it. Check in was really awkward also after the 200 email on the arrival process i got here and had no idea of what room i was in. One washing machine for the place and the staff uses it also! For good they allow you to set temp of shower and pressure was good. But as the room was hot and couldn't get a sheet I would never recommend this place!
