Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was pretty small and no lockers for valuables. The automatic lights were a little annoying at night although the curtains on the beds did pretty much block them out. It's a long way to walk to the town, although there is a bus stop outside for the ski season.
The only hostel in St Anton and it was a good place to stay. Great staff and good facilities to cook and relax.

United StatesReally nothing.
LOCATION: This hostel is amazing! The location is excellent. If you come by car, there are plenty off-road parking next to it. If you come by train, there's a public bus taking you door-to-door from the train station to literally in front of this hostel. The same bus also brings you to St Anton town and several different ski chairlifts (Nassereinbahn, Galzigbahn, Rendlbahn). CLEANESS: The whole hostel is spotless! I spent 10 days there. There was no moment when any part of the hostel is not clean. I was amazed by how every time I hanged around, I'd walk by some staff vacuuming, mopping, wiping the counter, and just cleaning something... FACILITIES: The mattress and pillow are very comfy (NOT your basic hostel quality). Every bed has a curtain, so privacy is great. Each person has a shelf in the room. Lockers are in the basement first come first serve. Shower water pressure is strong and hot water becomes available quickly. They have a basement room specifically for storing snow gears, including some racks for snowboards/skis and a heating rack for the boots. Everything looks new. You can access this room directly from the outside. Super convenient! They have a great system assigning dry food shelf and fridge space per your room/bed number. I did big grocery twice and cooked all 10 days during my stay. No issue about storage space. I also like the free orange juice machine they have in the kitchen. You can get 2kg oranges for a few euros and enjoy fresh juice anytime you want. This machine is thoroughly cleaned everyday. There's a vending machine with some food and drink, including 2 euro instant noodles. STAFF: They are super friendly, attentive, and helpful. I wanted to cancel the last few days due to my plan change. The process was very smooth! If you don't mind roommates, you won't find better value-for-money or cheaper stay for St Anton and Ischgl skiing. I've tried and failed for the last five ski seasons :)

IrelandNot many dinning facilities close by and the only ones nearest are very high end. I personally founf it a little to warm at night.
The people who own and run the Hostel are very nice and hospitable. Real laid back and chill. Very well set up facilities. The buses to the ski lift during ski hours and up to 7 are free and run roughly every 20 min or 30. After that it's every hour and not free but not to expensive. Would highly recommend staying here especially if travelling solo.

AustriaWe were there in the hostel was not full. I could imagine if the hostel was full the bathrooms would be quite busy in the morning and evening and maybe people have to wait to shower or use the toilet. This was not our experience because it was not full but I could imagine that happening
The kitchen has plenty of supplies for cooking and storing food. They also have a good system for each person to have their own food storage space. The little pods that the bed is in are pretty cozy and actually really nice. The beds were pretty comfortable too.. very friendly staff and a fun environment to meet other travelers.

United KingdomVery handy having the busstop right outside, then it's a ten minute (max) trip to the lift at Nasserein. I was able to park outside before and after my stay, but be warned there is only really room for four cars plus two on the charge points.

United KingdomFriendliest staff out there, welcoming and including, had lots of fun playing board games and hanging out on rest days! The mattresses are also memory foam so very comfortable and having enclosed beds adds a nice and unexpected level of privacy for a hostel. Had a great time and would recommend.

United StatesThe hostel exceeded my expectations
I forgot to book this part of my trip -- x-country skiing to get over jet lag before joining my club for downhill, By the time I got around to it, Stanton Hostel was the only affordable place available. The kids were all very nice to an old guy. Enclosed beds with private lights were great. The shared bathrooms were warm & clean. Staff were friendly and arranged for my afterhours arrival.

United KingdomThere is no private area designated for getting changed before/after showering. Personally I didn’t find this a big issue, and still found the hostel great value.
I know St. Anton well and the value of the Stanton Hostel is high. You get what you pay for and more. Comfy beds in a wooden pod gave adequate privacy, and there was a personal light and power socket inside. Whilst there are no locks on doors (apart from the toilets of course) the hostel is in a quiet area (St. Jakob), and I felt like both myself and my belongings were safe. Kitchen facilities very good and nice common area. The girl who checked me in was friendly, showed me around and informed me of how everything worked. The bus stop is right outside and is frequent. Ski room was adequate. There’s a balcony too.
