Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenNoise that cleaners would make for a long time, even after 14:00 when check-in is already done. We wanted to rest a bit after checking in, but it was not possible due to the high noise. The Internet connection in the room was very slow, was a bit like in old times :D
The location is amazing, the beds are comfortable and it is very clean. All that you need for a great city break!

South AfricaThe breakfast at the hotel has only a few small selections of food, rather better to go and have breakfast outside
The hotel is located in a really good proximity of all the tourist destinations most of everything is in walking distance.

GermanySmall lobby and elevator.
The lobby and elevator are very small. With child trolley you cannot drive to inside of the hotel and the for the elevator you need 10 strairsteps. We left the trolley to the lobby as this couldnt fit to the elevator :) BUT the room was big, 4 proper beds + baby cot. Even we were with 6year and a baby, so one bed was extra. And the room had even a small seperate corridor to leave the shoes and suitcases. Really very comfortable. Not noisy outside. And same time very good location - nice cafes and bars close by and city center from small walk. Lovely.

GermanyThe air quality in the room was not great even with open windows, and it was noisy in the evening. I had no mobile connection in the room and the WiFi kept cutting off. The breakfast room was extremely tight and the variety of foods was very limited.
Very polite staff. Pretty, spacious room with a sofa. Good location close to the city center.

United KingdomThe tiled corridors mean that noises from across the hall and from different floors carry. Perhaps hall doors could be closed over at night and in the morning?
Clean and functional.

United StatesI really had no complaints.
i really enjoyed by stay at the Terminus. The staff was welcoming and professional. I was tired when I arrived, and they made me feel welcome. The location is good - only walking distance from the Ring, the Artist Quarter, and National Museum. The facilities were fine - nothing fancy but good. My room was small, but that was what I expected. I would definitely stay there again.

AustriaThe building is quite old and the floors are in need of repair. The bathroom is quite narrow as a result but it is renovated and looked clean.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and polite. The location is very central and easy to access via the city train.

NetherlandsRooms are quite small (this was not unexpected), and the decoration a bit spartan. The hotel can be a bit noisy. The bathroom is tiny and no shower gel or shampoo is provided (only some soap).
Very close to the Naschmarkt and other attractions, close to 2 metro stations as well. The street where the hotel is located is not superb, but your are literally just a few steps from a nice shopping street. The room was very clean as well and the staff friendly. Reception sells some drinks and so for prices that are reasonable for a hotel.

DenmarkIt's a bit worn and sort of cold-war style interior, but it is really a minor thing.
The hotel is located with many great sites in walking distance. Basically, you can walk to any location in the city center but especially the "Naschmarkt" is very close by and a good option for food and drinks.

RomaniaThe window looks out onto a courtyard where employees sometimes smoke under the window, and the odours from the garbage cans can faintly be detected. But this is a really minor complaint and more than outweighed by the huge bathtub, excellent breakfast, attentive staff and surprisingly fabulous location on a quiet street just a few minute's walk from cafe's and landmarks.
This is an excellent choice for people seeking a safe, clean, comfy room in a convenient location. It was much nicer than I expected, and the staff are welcoming and kind. The room was immaculate and breakfast was generous and of good quality.

IrelandNothing really. There weren't any shower curtains which meant there was some splashes on the bathroom floor when showering. Not really a complaint, more an observation.
Really well located, close to two major metro lines with easy navigation to all parts of Vienna. Close to nachmarket too. The room was basic but perfectly comfortable and clean. It's a nice authentic hotel for any trip to Vienna. 24hr reception.

United KingdomKids not impressed with the tiny tv Lacking in power points and to access the ones available had to pull bed away from wall - which meant couldnt leave plugged in overnight in case bed moved and damaged cable
Very comfy beds Lift available if needed. Just off busy road so quieter than i expected Hot drinks available to buy at reception. I asked for tea and was given lovely big pot on a tray to take up to room Room quite small but adequate - 3rd bed for child probably didnt help Reasonable selection for breakfast

United KingdomI didn't like not having an en-suite toilet for the price I paid. 100 euros per night and having to share a toilet with an entire floor of other rooms is too much. Also, breakfast was not very good, I was expecting way more for the price
Location is good, and the room was ok. The bed was comfortable. I asked for a hair dryer and they provided me one, which was good. Staff was friendly.
