The place was very clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly, the view was wonderful, and the area was very quiet. I advise anyone who wants to relax to go.

While my stay at Comodo in Bad Gestain was generally enjoyable, there were some aspects that left room for improvement. The ground floor's functional planning seemed haphazard, particularly with only one toilet for the entire lobby, bar, restaurant, and co-working space, leading to cleanliness issues by noon. The spa area's capacity was questionable, as my partner and I struggled to find space at 2:00 PM on a Saturday due to a bachelorette party dominating the Quiet room. The saunas lacked privacy, with changing room and waiting zone visitors staring at spa-goers. Room cleanliness was a concern, as daily floor washing was evidently lacking, leaving persistent spots and filth throughout our stay. Furthermore, inattentive staff resulted in unexpected costs, with drinks being charged to my room without my knowledge. Late-night options were limited, as there was no functioning mini-bar or kitchen after 22:00. This left guests with the choice of either going hungry or resorting to snacks from a nearby gas station, an inconvenient 8-minute drive away. Overall, while the hotel offers a great stay, there is a noticeable lack of hospitality knowledge that impacts the overall experience

I recently stayed at Comodo in Bad Gestain and was pleasantly surprised by its designer charm. The attention to detail in design and architecture is commendable, making it a haven for those who appreciate aesthetic values. The spacious rooms, equipped with a generous shower and a luxurious Pebble sofa, exceeded standard expectations. However, there were some noticeable details that could be improved upon, yet overall, it was a delightful stay at this hidden gem. Great work to see an architect who just entered the hospitality field to bring a dose of “fresh” vibe.

Not a lot of direct sunlight in December, onsite parking expensive (no garage), no receptionist after 10pm, very small standard rooms, difficult to fit all the ski luggage and winter cloth. Our bed sheets were dirty so I had them changed, bathroom was clean. "The cómodo" sign on top of the hotel is very bright and does not fit in well into the landscape...

Nice, stylish design hotel, recently opened, great vibe, morning yoga class, fantastic breakfast, restaurant with friendly staff. Small spa area with pool and 2 saunas. Free shuttle bus to Gastein ski station (twice a day)

The most unbelievable hotel I've stayed at!! We were blown away with the beautiful design, views, and amenities at The Comodo. We especially loved the restaurant and the extra such as yoga classes, movie nights, and sauna/pool. You can take a €15-20 10-minute taxi from the Bad Gastein train station or walk along a beautiful walking path for about 30 minutes. So many things to do around the hotel in every season!

The room did not have a kettle, but you can always ask for one (bring your hot water bottle!). In general whenever you are missing something just talk to the reception - they are extremely helpful and really go out of their way to make your stay perfect.

What a gem! The location is excellent, being a bit out of the town and right where some nice hiking routes start. Gives you the best view down on the town and during breakfast/dinner. The spa area is great and very inviting, always spot on clean. In addition there is a movie theatre (which you can also reserve for a night when there’s no movie showing) and a co-working area (I did not see the latter since I was there to relax only). The rooms (mine at least) are spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and an invitation to enjoy a long breakfast reading the paper - it’s from 7am til 11am, and you can sit and enjoy the breakfast buffet and coffee after coffee for as long as you wish. Dinner is also high quality, and worth the price. I was there solo for 6 nights and relaxation while being exhausted and I couldn’t have chosen a better place and accommodation.

Hotel is beautiful and I would love to return, but there was just something a little off with service. More a feeling even. There seemed to be some lack of information among different staff members, when asked about some things I got different answers at reception depending on the person. They seemed very busy all the time, especially at the breakfast time. When approached everyone was nice, but it felt like you have to catch someone if wanted to ask a question. A little information to know and was important to us - there is no source of heating in rooms (towelrack or floor) in summer season. So if you go hiking and get wet or want to dry your swimsuit after the spa - it is not really an option.

Really poor lights in the bathroom = dark. Room w the mountain view means you are really next to the walk way and exposed in the bath tub and room overall unless you close the curtains. Book rather a valley view if you like privacy. Smoking is allowed on all balconies so either you keep the windows closed or get the smoke in your room. Tip: a designated area outdoor for smokers would be a better option like many alpine locations nowadays offer.

Nice and modern vibe, liked the furniture, warm welcoming staff at the reception (especially the nice swedish lady), good selection and quality at the breakfast combined with a lovely view over the valley, tried 2 room types from which the valley views are the best.

Our stay at the Comdo Hotel was amazing for a vacation. It's just a 10-minute walk from Bad Gastien town center and breathtaking waterfalls.
