Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe only issue we had was the cleanliness when we arrived, the beds and towelling were all super clean but the floors were dirty. The hosts immediately replied and sent someone the next day to vacuum.
Check in was great, amenities were perfect, communication was brilliant and within walking distance to the old town.

Spain-There were no blinds or blackout curtains on the windows. there were “Venetian blinds” through which a lot of light came in in the mornings. -no microwave in the kitchen -no antenna cable for TV. So the TV (that by the way ours was a less than 32 inches of size) is useless. I highly recommend to take Amazon Fire Stick or similar items with you (and power strip). -is not the best neighborhood but it is what it is. -apartment decoration is non-existent but it is what it is…

United KingdomPin code for your apartment is the same code everyone uses to get into the main building. Surely not very secure? Not well equipped for 4 people. Only 3 chairs at kitchen table, 3 cups, 2 teaspoons, no toaster, only 1 small mirror, poor lighting in bathroom.
Location 25 min walk from Centre(longer in snow/ice) Good size bedrooms. Clean. Good heating. Good beds.

SlovakiaFloors in the bathroom and toilet should be much cleaner.
The apartment is spacious with nice furniture and nice rooms. It can accommodate up to 6 people. There’s one bathroom and an extra toilet which is good if you’re there with more people. The floor heating is fine but pay attention not to lower the temperature otherwise you risk to have cold rooms and it may take a while to get them warm again. Location also very convenient as you can easily walk to the city center.

Bulgaria- the "host" was supposed to notify us if we can enter the room earlier than 15:00. Even though we sent a notification we'd come ~1h earlier, the door was locked, nobody was there and automatically the code became active. 0 human interaction - nobody picked up the phone. We wasted 1h on the hottest day just outside. We wanted to spend the afternoon sight-seeing but we lost 1h due to nobody caring for their guests - no AC! the building was very hot and there was just a fan in the room. Opening windows didn't help...
- clean apartment - location is ok - 5m from a bus station which needs 10-15 minutes to take you to Mirabell garden

Also, booked this bc of the breakfast option, which we were told after booking that it was not available after all, which was inconvenient for a family with 3 small kids…

AustraliaOn the day of arrival it was a very hot and the fans provided in the apartment didn’t really cool us down. we had extended our stay by one night and as a result, our door code stopped working. the replacement code we were given then also stopped working later that day, meaning we were locked out of the apartment with two young, tired and grouchy children. my husband had to climb in through a window to let us in as it took some time to get our code reactivated. We also found a shard of glass in the lounge room - it was lucky my husband found this as it could have had really bad consequences if my toddler or baby found it first. if these hadn’t occurred, we would have given this place 10/10.
the apartment was very big, had access to an outside seating area, had a washer and dryer for guest use and had plenty of available on-street parking. it wasn’t right in the city but all the main sights were in walking distance. we were also given a. free bottle of still water, veggie chips, beer and apple juice waiting in the apartment as a welcome gift.

United StatesLinens for sofa beds not already placed in room.
This apartment was great for a family! There was a bedroom and two pull out sofas. *important note* : if you plan to use the pull out sofas, make sure you specially request sheets and pillowcases for those beds before the housekeeping leaves for the day.I’m not sure what time housekeeping is there, but I called early afternoon and got some but when I called at 8pm to request the rest (there was a miscommunication on my part), it was too late. The duvet insert and pillow inserts are stored in a cabinet in the apartment but the linens for it are not. You are able to contact someone 24/7 via WhatsApp but no one is on site and they responded each time right away. It was decorated nicely, lots of windows and light. It was very clean (not deep, deep clean I.e. dust in exhaust fan, some stains on grout) but essentials were clean and we certainly felt comfortable there. It is in a quiet neighborhood. Two restaurants 2 blocks away. Bus stop to Aldstat is less than 10min walk.
