How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I like the bed and pillows:) Also breakfast was great. Healthy breakfast options also available. Delicious coffee!What I like the most is tje time of the breakfast:from 7 a.m. (during te week from 6 a.m. ) to 11 a.m.!

At start, I didn't like the location, but was incorrect and not well versed in Vienna mapping.

My only critique is the location. You‘ll need to ride the underground (subway) for two stops to get into the main, old city. The subway station is about a seven minute walk. Although the location isn’t ideal, I’m sure it would cost double or triple for a Hotel of similar quality in the old city.
Wonderful hotel, with an excellent breakfast. Our room was superb.

Friendly staff - quiet room and well located for access to airport - 25 min train journey and then 5 min walk. 29 min walk to city centre. Very relaxing stay.

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but there are plenty of choices within 5mins walk, ranging from Austrian local food to Asian fusion and Italian, so it's a small quibble and there is bar food.
I was ill prior to travel and needed to rebook, then the new flight was cancelled, so I was making multiple changes to my booking and the staff at the hotel were just the most helpful ever. I travel a lot, far too much, and this is by far the best hotel bookings service I've had from a hotel in memory. The property is nice, super comfortable, clean, well sited very near the U1 Bahn, very well priced and overall this is a top offer, I fully recommend it.

Nice place to stay. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and in a quiet and peaceful part of the Vienna only 15 mins walk from innere stadt. Good WiFi with no hickups. Their own garage, affordable prices, nice and spacious rooms, and above all, young, friendly and cheerful staff are the reasons to stay at Der Wilhelmshof for the third time.

Underground car park could be cheaper.

The internet connection was very poor, cut out every 5 minutes or so
The breakfast was superb, the room was spotless and comfortable. Close to the subway station, a 2 min walk away!

There really was nothing I can think of, and I am trying honestly!!
The room was a great size (Premium Double) it was lovely and clean with good facilities (huge bed too), Staff were really friendly and helpful as it was our first time in Vienna. The breakfast was brilliant too with a great selection. The art work in the rooms are great but not over the top, some place can seem pretentious, they have struck a good balance here. Excellent location with the Praterstern train station was approx 600m around the corner (S7 line stops there and is a direct line from the Airport) and from there you could get the underground, Tram or Bus to the city centre or anywhere else actually!! We found that the U1 metro from there to Stephansplatz (3 stops) takes you direct into the centre and right outside the Cathedral, one stop short of that Schwedenplatz gives you access to the trams that go around the city ring (Trams 1 & 2 are needed to do a complete ring), no where is to far to walk in the city but you can also get the D tram to Belvedere which is an amazing place too. There are a few nice places to eat very local to the Hotel if you did not want to eat in the city and were reasonably priced too. On the last day we stored our bags at the hotel in the secure luggage lockers and went back into the city after checking out, really easy, I could go on :-).
