Central location and exceptional breakfast

The single room is tiny, like a bed placed in a hallway. The bed is also super small for a grown-up. This kind of room is fine only if you are there just to sleep for one night and not spend any extra time in it. Would not recommend it.

The location is good and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was fresh, but not a lot of options. The hotel is clean and equipped with toiletries, a hairdryer, and an iron.

I loved everything about this place - the localisation, helpful staff, tasty and fresh breakfast. Rooms were super comfortable and well-equipped. I appreciate the little things like accessories for cleaning shoes - came handy, especially in the winter. Or sewing kit - came handy too! And the hairdryer! It was absolutely the best hairdryer I have ever used!

Night it was very noisy we can’t sleep until 1 am and the air condition very hot as oven and we can’t open windows from the noisy.

I have nothing to complain, I would gladly stay here again. (Just to note: I had a small room as I was traveling alone for business.) The reception desk is not open 24/7 but it was not a problem for me.

The staff was very friendly. For example, they helped me find information about the events, and they even packed me a "breakfast bag" when leaving very early in the morning upon checking out. All in all, I found the hotel very clean, their cost-free WiFi worked well, I enjoyed air-conditioning in my room, the hotel's location is perfect, and the breakfast was versatile enough (with quite nice and healthy options as well).

Room was located over the hotel bar terrace. Sleeping was possible only with plugs in ears. The toilet and shower in the room were unique design and this was not all good way. See the picture. There was open air from the opposite street windows to the shower box.

Hotel is loocated as close to city center it can. They have also protected garage for cars and MC’s

IT's a great little hotel right in the best location to for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Even though it's located in the pedestrian area, parking is available nearby and the receptionist very helpfully pointed out that while the hotel had parking of its own, it would be the same price as the parking I had already found and arguably not even closer. The breakfast is truly excellent: freshly squeezed orange juice as much as you please, even a juicer if you want, fresh omelettes etc. made to order, great choice of different types of bread&pastries, 6 different types of granola with a selection of add-ins such as chia seeds, bits of dried ginger, etc., great coffee.. all in a nice, bright area that is lively without being loud. The owners/management clearly take pride in the quality of their food and it is evident that many locals choose Schwarzer Bär for brunch, lunch and even dining. With the exception of Pöstlingberg I did all my sightseeing on foot and never had to walk more than 15 minutes. Great spot, highly recommended!

On March 12, my husband Ivan Aleksin booked and paid for a room at this hotel through booking. The payment for the room was taken from the card before arrival at the hotel. on the morning of check-out on March 13 at the hotel we were asked to pay again, explaining that we paid only an advance payment for the room. although we showed the fact of payment at the reception. on booking the payment for the room is 108 euros. I think we paid twice for the room. We eat from Ukraine, we run from the war, and our hometown of Irpen, near Kiev, was destroyed by Russian troops. Please, give an explanation for the double payment !! because for us it is a significant amount

Location is perfect: right in the middle of everything! Breakfast was great, a bit crowded at peak times. Rooftop terrace wonderful, staff very friendly. Unexpected: great shopping! We walked to the hotel from the train station. Would stay there again!
