Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesPlease be aware of these minor items, so plan accordingly: parking will be about 2 blocks away up a one-way street from the main entrance of hotel. Some rooms will require going up steps (no elevator), so plan also to have wheeled baggage when possible.
What a unique and storybook location, right across from Burg Schlaining 13th Century castle. Breakfast was very nice and freshly made, chef was always friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and orderly. Would definitely stay here again for future visits. Quiet location.

Czech RepublicWe were a little worried about the car, because it is not parked right next to the hotel. The parking lot is in the next street, 50 m from the hotel. In the city outside the hotel we did not find a restaurant where you could pay by card...
Very nice service at the reception. Beautiful view of the castle. A really luxurious breakfast. In the evening we had wine and beer on the hotel terrace. The room was really tiny, but it's enough for one night...

AustriaThe downside was the room, not even that the room was very small would have bothered me. It were the little things that became quite an issue during the night. In our room we could not tilt the window. The bed was a small double bed and the filling of the pillows and the duvets was very poor quality. The cheapest synthetic on the market I guess. They definitely have to focus more on the beds to make it a really great place.
The location, the breakfast, the service, the entrance hall, the patio. All is well designed. It is a beautiful historic building.

United KingdomIt gave us an impression of being hakf funished and rushed. There was no bedside table on one side or plug, there was as old broken industrial lamp on one side. No decoration, very unfriendly office-lulike corridors and room with just plain white walls. The shower was only cleaned at eye level, it had thick limescale on it below eye level. Its NOT in the castle as you would expect from the name of the hotel, its a separate building. We were told that the castle was open but its not open until May. Theres no coffee tea in the room. We didnt think it was value for money at all.
