  • The Oak & Anchor Hotel Review score: 9.1

“The Oak and Anchor is an unusually attractive regional hotel, handsome from the outside and inside. The recent restoration has been done with a fine talented eye to retaining many features of the old building, in particular the superb interior stone work, broad corridors and stairs and large windows, while ensuring modern comforts. Our room was large and light, as was the bathroom. The restaurant is very attractive with good spacing between tables. Breakfast was a self-serve spread of key breakfast foods, all fresh and high quality, and generously barista coffees were available to order gratis with breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The location is terrific for foot access to the centre of Port Fairy and the marina/foreshore.”

  • Port Boutique Accommodation Review score: 8.9

“Our upstairs room was clean, modern, quiet & private. The location is excellent within a very short walk to restaurants, shops & general exploration of the town.”

  • The Moorings Review score: 8.1

“We have often thought it would great to stay in one of these iconic absolute river frontage houses on Gippsland Street. The ambience is lovely with the boats and river. It is also minutes away from all the central town action, yet very quiet. The renovated bathroom is excellent. There is a rainwater tank, essential in Port Fairy.”

  • The Victoria Apartments Review score: 8

“The room was comfy with great kitchen.”

  • Merrijig Inn Review score: 9

“The Merrijig Inn is a unique place to stay and such a lovely contrast to so many nondescript hotels. We enjoyed a relaxing stay with an excellent breakfast in the morning.”
