Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaI was running late for checkout time and had several staff members knock and try to open my door. The safe for after hours check in would not open as admin had sent me an invalid key.
I liked the downstairs buffet. Very convenient. And, the view from higher level rooms is quite nice. Facilities were very clean and well looked after.

Australia- I didn’t like that the shower screen was so close to the toilet and if you didn’t look as you were going in and out of the shower you may get hurt or something. - I didn’t like the housekeeping coming into my room one of the days I was there and clean it even though I didn’t leave the tag on the door handle to let them know to clean it or not. - Wish there was a PowerPoint next to the bed. - You had to leave the aircon on and it was freezing and didn’t feel that could adjust it, I had to keep my jacket on inside. - The restaurant food didn’t taste nice, I tried the beef brisket and rice and the “beef” wasn’t beef it was all fat and the vegetables that came with it tasted disgusting - People hanging out in the carpark across the road. - Only way to / from the airport was by taxi or shuttle bus.
The view of the ocean to the right and the mountains to the left , as I had a room on the side of the hotel. The walk along the beach was nice. 10min walk to nearest bus stop or otherwise catch a taxi.

IndiaThe wifi did not function properly and we had lot of issues with it. We also paid AUD $50 for an early check-in, and the hotel sent us a message that we could collect the keys from the locker on the reception. But when we arrived, we could not get the key from the locker and even after calling their helpline, we could not get the key before 2 hours. Our flight landed early morning at 4:30 AM and we reached the hotel by 5AM but the staff comes in at 7 AM, so if you are really looking for a smoother check-in, reach the hotel by 7AM.
The view was pretty good. The rooms were of a good size, and the bathroom was OK

AustraliaWhat I didn’t like (no fault of the staff) is that it has become a go to place for aboriginals. I have seen it a few times there now where the staff are coping a mouthful from drunk and super disrespectful “first nation people” I was even abused myself yesterday for trying to help them - never again! I was told they would bust my head if I didn’t mind my own business. They were trying to rip off the bloke behind the counter and he delt with them for too long. Should of called the Police and checked in other customers instead of listening to their crap for about 25 minutes 🤨
I normally like to stay here because it’s pretty clean and cheap for somewhere to just put your head down for the night.
