How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Rear car park spaces were extremely tight, only stairs on one side of the property to access secons level rooms

dirty microwave and bedside tables needed wiping / dusting occasional noise from traffic outside mostly ok though needed more than one blanket available large mugs for coffee would have been good
friendly staff comfy beds great spa and shower good location for us proximity to airport ok plenty of milk and coffee supplies great nice to have microwave also Etta effort that staff went to organise flowers and chocs for my daughter’s birthday day !

The pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable. They were way too soft and not suitable for sleeping on. I put four pillows together and it was still not comfortable. The hot water in the shower took at least 5mins to work and in a place that is freezing cold this time of year that was terrible.
It was close to shops and other amenities. It was very clean. The facilities inside the room were good.

The incredibly small tv, no sink to rinse dishes had to do in the bathroom,
The staff were very friendly Room was old and could do with some maintenance but was clean Everything you needed in walking distance. Cafes and restaurants across the road, Aldi next door, bottle shop, etc all within 100 metres

Bathroom needed an update. The exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter taking off so couldn't really turn the light on if others were sleeping. The sink tap also leaked constantly. Appreciated the guest laundry but one washer was not enough.

Just a few small things. The TV reception was a bit poor with some channels. A little more bench space in the kitchenette would have been better. The fan in the bathroom was a little noisy. Finding a parking space was limited when returning late.
The room was clean, and there was surprisingly quiet considering the very busy road in front. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with parking advice when returning late and missing out on parking spaces. The beds were comfortable and air conditioning very effective. The bathroom was quite spacious. The location was great, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. We appreciated being able to arrive late at night and depart early.

It needed a little tlc but parking is super convenient and there are many close shops nearby.
The bed was extremely comfortable. Better than some of the higher rated hotels

The decor in the room was a bit tired.
Location suited us because one member of our group was overnighting in the Burnside hospital. The staff were very accommodating.

The palm fronds belting the roof on last night. Bad night for sleeping. The culprit is the one on your first page. Suggest a trim of the fronds to stop the noise on windy nights.

Air conditioner didn’t work properly, cracks in walls marks on walls and inside the bin was dirty. For the price I have stayed in better .

Supposed to be Disabled friendly, but the original rooms they allocated were on the 2nd floor- with no lift. The rooms we then had were only just suitable. The shower was too small. The door was impossible to open, they did fix it tho', so I could use the door. The room was very old, needed a repaint. The Spa bath in the other room didn't work.

The water temperature changes quickly between burning hot and cold if someone else is using the water nearby so be careful
