How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms. The staff were really helpful and accommodating. Isabella in particular was always willing to help out with booking modifications (often last minute).

The price per night but everything else was booked out
Loved the location …easy to get around and plenty of parking on site. Friendly staff We had a huge room which we loved Lifts for easy room access

Location is perfect, close to city without the noise. On site parking is a bonus and plenty of eateries etc. close by.

I only take points off for not enough milk...there was only enough for one coffee each for 2 people...after travelling for 2 and a half hours we would have liked to relax with a cup of tea and have enough for a coffee each to wake up?...so 2 poppers of milk would have been better.

The air conditioner wasn't working properly I had it on its lowest 17 There was a hairclip and band on the floor by the bed when I arrived and was still there day 2 The freezer didn't work. Would have been nice to have had ice cubes, as the weather in Adelaide was very warm.

The only thing I would have a little grumble about is the parking, the car park is pretty tight, difficult when you have a larger vehicle. We weren't able to get a park when we first arrived & parked on the street, but managed to find a spot later in the evening.
We had 1 nights stay & asked to have rooms close together as my brother & sister in law were staying with us. Our request for rooms next to each other was organised with no problems. The rooms were comfortable with tea & coffee provided. The balcony was a real plus, we really enjoyed sitting outside with drinks. The location was fabulous, we could walk to hotels, restaurants in the evening & then the following day to a cafe for breakfast. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The room was very spacious but in desperate need of a makeover. Room itself was clean but the bathroom had mould on the wall tiles and grime on the bottom of the bath which could've easily be cleaned. Shower is over bath, therefore not good for anyone who cannot step over the bath. Needs to have a walk-in shower.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location to shops & eating places all within walking distance. Free and secure car parking. Rooms spacious and very quiet (except the plumbing made some noises).

The pool facilities weren’t well looked after, could have used a clean up around the chairs, maybe some umbrellas to make it look better. Our room smelt when you first walked in, maybe from the bathroom or the aircon! We were given vouches to the bar but the bar was never open.
Was on a good strip of cafes. The after hours check in was great. Staff were friendly and helpful Bed was comfortable Room was a nice size

When we arrived there was a unpleasant odour in the room. Guessing it was what they cleaned the rooms with. However not nice.
Room was very nice. Location was good. Close to a lot of places for meals. Hotel was very clean and stylish.

The room was exceptional. Clean, well presented. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Location was spot on with plenty of cafes and hotels to choose from for dining. Such a charming part of Adelaide. Will definitely be staying there again.
