No air-conditioning, which was ok, but the overhead fan was so noisy it was a hot sleep.

Appeared someone tried our door a couple of times during the night. There was left overs in our fridge which looked like parsley Some coffee, tea and milk would have been nice to have a drink on arrival

Close to East Perth train station and the CBD. Nice comfortable bed and good shower.

Due to the heat wave we found the heat intolerable with no aircon. It did have fans which did help some bit. Nice spot when weather isn’t so hot.

Very central with friendly & helpful staff!

The room was extremely hot, fan barely working and no AC. Our windows were facing the alley and the metal gate was stuck half of the night opening and closing every few seconds with a bang. Cockroaches.

There was no aircon, it was so hot during the night and our window was open to the stairs to the other hotel. I couldn’t sleep was scary

We liked we could stay during the day while we waited for our plane.

Told by the management that Akara is a Budget so had limited cutlery & crockery. Just as well I brought bits & pieces of both. Akara is an ‘Aged building’ so floor boards creaked at times…. creaked in bedroom upstairs.

Very central to Everything - Transportation, food retailers, cafes shops, shopping centres & malls. The bedroom 113, upstairs had a renovated bathroom & 2 windows to open for fresh air.

Akara is very conveniently located with the CBD, very close to bus and train services. Despite that, there was little traffic noise the night I was there. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building itself is old giving a lovely old-fashioned ambience. My room was very large - I was not expecting that! The bathroom was very good. No TV in the room was actually a nice break. While not 5, or even 3, star by any means, this is a good, comfy, clean, very convenient and affordable place to stay.

No Aircon, only ceiling fan which you can’t feel the air, spent 4 nights there and 36-40 degrees all those day…burning inside, not including they did fire alarm check which need electricity off during hot day. No TV for entertainment and it’s complicated just if you want to do your laundry. Other place with same price has better facility.

    Nothing

Have stayed here before in the cooler months and everything was fine. But this stay with no aircon and ceiling fan that created no breeze, was no good. Traffic noise was bad enough but also had ask the next room twice to turn down their music and at 3 am he cranked it again!

    Great location!

A very warm weekend in Perth. There is no air conditioning however there was a ceiling fan. Although the speed couldn't be adjusted.

No air con (in 40 degree heat!!), no parking (paid car park close by), 24-hour lights shining from outside (could use better curtains), no elevator, felt overpriced for what it was.

Staff was friendly, great location, large ensuite, charming feel/energy.
