The amenities in the room were very basic. Our room also faced towards a bar in Northbridge and the window wasn’t double glazed so we had loud singing, music and screaming until 4am. We were really looking forward to a great child free sleep which obviously didn’t eventuate. They did provide ear plugs but a double glazed window would have been better.

We loved the beautiful shared spaces and delicious breakfast. It was an added bonus there was cute bikes to ride too. Little extras like the jar of snakes, access to unlimited bottled water, juice, tea and coffee and fruit was an unexpected but very welcome surprise. We loved the various niche books and games in Feb shared space as well.

We got down to breakfast at 9am. All of the pastries were gone and unfortunately there was no cereal like the last time we stayed.

Central and accessible; the Alex has a friendly urban vibe. We love that you can check in late as we are country customers.

Room was an adequate size with a tiny balcony. Bed and bath both very comfortable. We liked the touches of industrial history amidst the modern eclectic furnishings both in our room and the public spaces. Enjoyed the pleasant second story furnishings for our continental breakfast as well as access for beverages and snacks during non-meal times. Location of the hotel is excellent--short walking distances to shopping malls and museums/library.

The location is perfect very Central to everything, car park right next door, hotel is always clean, fantastic that you can get free coffee anytime and breakfast is always lovely.

You’d have to pay for your own parking. The toilets are kind of transparent and are in front of the bed, which is really awkward when you travel with a partner

Hotel is ideal for a few days as room was small and no cupboard space but we didn't mind as we were only there for the weekend.

Alex Hotel is in an amazing location in Northbridge and less than a 5 mins walk to the train station. The boutique hotel had lovely features and artworks and it smelled amazing! The breakfast was a bonus as didn't know that came with the room. The rooftop area is a great spot to chill out. The products in the bathroom were really good.
