Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaI rarely find hotel pillows comfortable, these were no expection. The bed was fine however. Also, the TV was quite clunky to use.
The hotel is clean and the facilities are as needed. The breakfast was delicious.

LithuaniaWe liked everything about this hotel!
Perfect location - right in the heart of the city (central Northbridge). Nice and very tasty breakfast, fruits, water, snack - all day long. Perfect lounge zones - this hotel really exceeded our expectations!!

AustraliaThere was really not a lot to dislike here. The few things that I would suggest to change are having a fridge in our room - although there is a fridge on Level One the guests are allowed to pop their own things in and there are labels readily available - I am a chilled water drinker, and not being able to have it on hand in my room was a rather frustrating. The chromecast on our TV refused to work, but it wasn't a massive deal to me and my sister as we were out most of the time. Again, my sister and I didn't mind as we are earplug wearers at home anyway, but it is in the middle of rowdy town. On the weekend, nightlife is very much in full boom, and it gets loud and stays loud for hours. Unfortunately, going for a stroll later at night for anything means drunk people will be everywhere. So, just be mindful that the location of Alex has its pros and cons.
The overall feel and vibe of the place was so freakin cool! I loved the decor and theme of the hotel. I wanted to take the furniture home and the artwork! The location was fantastic for our needs as everything was in perfect proximity. The staff were absolutely lovely and easy to talk to. The air con worked a dream in our room, had to mention that because it was a life saver after a walk in the heat! Level One was a personal favorite of mine as it was really nicely presented and laid out with plenty of different seating options for breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast options. It was delicious, healthy, and really different from most hotels I've visited! It was a bonus having coffee made by the staff for you to either drink there or takeaway included in your booking. It was a nice little touch that sets Alex a part from any other hotel I've been to. I truly adored the place, and it truly holds itself in a unique way. I'll be back!

AustraliaI loved it. Once I came to terms with the fact that you have no fridge, beverage facilities. I missed that in the booking, my bad. You share the fridge in the breakfast lounge. Plus the coffee and tea is there.
A really relaxed cool vibe about the whole place, including the staff. Whilst being professional and on the ball. Great reception lounge and bar. Funky all day lounge and breakfast area on 1st floor, 24 access to coffee, some awesome pastries, cold water and fridge* see below. Clean, small rooms that provide the quality basics needed*. Continental Breakfast was simple yet great and very good quality. Nice roof top lounge area.

AustraliaOnly that the room was slightly under-furnished but comfortable nonetheless.
Most of all we liked the open atmosphere, the spaces and the friendly staff. The all-day access to tea, coffee, fruit (and even croissants) was fantastic. And we could enjoy all this surrounded by beautiful furniture and a large array of interesting books.

AustraliaThe amenities in the room were very basic. Our room also faced towards a bar in Northbridge and the window wasn’t double glazed so we had loud singing, music and screaming until 4am. We were really looking forward to a great child free sleep which obviously didn’t eventuate. They did provide ear plugs but a double glazed window would have been better.
We loved the beautiful shared spaces and delicious breakfast. It was an added bonus there was cute bikes to ride too. Little extras like the jar of snakes, access to unlimited bottled water, juice, tea and coffee and fruit was an unexpected but very welcome surprise. We loved the various niche books and games in Feb shared space as well.
