The clean up of the grounds needs to be improved. I found sharps behind the buildings and also tiny zip lock bags with remnants of white powder in them. Not a good thing to come across when one is exploring the grounds, particularly when children are visitors.

I liked that the reception area was open sensible hours. The ability to leave luggage for a time was very much appreciated. The reception staff were very friendly welcoming and helpful. I liked the friendly safe atmosphere. The kitchen is well equipped.

Very noisy, can hear people above you, walking up steps, room doors close loadly etc. Not many powerpoints in room (only 2 in room of 4 beds). No dryer/paper towel in bathrooms.

Good size locker in room and own bed light. Good facilities. Massive shared fridges in kitchen!

They played a movie both nights I stayed there. On the second night the sound was very loud. Also it takes a very long time for the hot water to come on in the bathrooms.

It’s very affordable accommodation and in a good location. The room had a heater, which is excellent on a cold winter night.

I saw an aboriginal mother with two young children asking for accommodation be turned away. She was clearly desperate and needed somewhere to stay with her children. She was polite. She was told there was nothing available. I knew this wasn't true. At the same time a man came up and asked if there were rooms and he was told yes. I understand why the lady may have been turned away but it was wrong. She needed help and more should have been done to help her.

Loved that the room was heated. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

YHA had the only beds in town available for the night we were there. We were very grateful for that. Dorm accommodation is not my usual style.

The hostel was very busy and so poor staff seemed quite overworked to be able to give full attention, but they were adequately friendly. One of the toilet facilities was out of order as were some laundry equipment. There wasn't a power point next to each bed in the shared dorm I stayed in.

arrived on day of the Finke Race launch. People talking on the deck outsitde our room till 2 am woke us both.

location fantastic. parking convenient. staff very helpful. Room OK for the price - esp given that all of Alice was otherwise booked out, we were glad to get a room.

The concept of the daily movie night is good, but if you want an early night, it'll be quite loud to try and sleep through, especially if your room is near the projector

Individual lights for each bunk. There's no centre room light that will blind you or wake up if someone comes in the middle of the night.

Some of the other guests were very loud for a weeknight and were running up and down the corridors yelling at each other (even tried coming into our room...).

The staff here were so so friendly and helpful! They were both incredibly accommodating and even helped us arrange a lift to the airport the next day with another guest at the hostel. The facilities were fantastic and very clean.

The lighting in the room was either too bright or too dim and the switches weren't convenient. The heating wasn't turned on at night so it was a little chilly but bearable.

The location was perfect, right in the city and a short walk to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and other shops. The amenities at YHA was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful with travel recommendations.
