How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was very lovely but lacked a few practical things eg somewhere to hang hand towels in the bathroom or a bench/cabinet to put your toiletries bag on/clothes for when you got out of the shower (not even a toilet seat you could put down to use). Also water ran v hot to v cold in the shower as all rooms run off the same water service. More for single travellers than a family group.
Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. A 5 minute walk to the light rail ( very easy to get to the SCG or Royal Randwick). Also a short walk to a range of restaurants and Woolworths.

Honestly nothing I didn't like.
I loves the friendly staff, the bed was so soft and comfortable. Such a cute little room. Defenitly stay again if back in the area.

Hanging space directly about electric kettle outlet was a bit odd. Could work around it though.
Room was small but clean. Understandable giuven it is covered inner city house. Close to ce are of Randwick and amenities.

Not a huge issue , but having a young child would of been good to have bathroom in/part of the room instead of separate.
Clean , beautiful accommodation, good location having to go to SCH. Lovely room and comfy bed :)

Doors were very noisy especially at night, bathroom could of had more hooks for clothes as floor got very wet. maybe a mop would be handy too as shower leaked.
good paid parking as no vacant spots on the road, very handy to shops and hospital.

didn’t understand why we had to use the shared bathroom downstairs when there was one right next door to our room, that was quite annoying and inconvenient.

No plug in the bathroom at all, take an extension cord with you if you plan on staying here. Some rooms have private bathrooms for extra money so be sure to check before booking - we had a private bathroom. Clothes hanger was directly above the tea/coffee/kettle so hanging a dress and a suit was awkward if you plan on using tea/coffee area. Can hear other guests moving around during the night, especially as our room was next to the shared bathroom.
Beautiful building, great location to Randwick racecourse. Rooms were clean and tidy. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Great communication leading up to stay as well. Undercover parking available but our van wouldn’t fit so they accommodated us by allowing us to park in the driveway. Easy to access after hours. Comfortable bed.

Water in shower took forever to heat up, window was left open before check in and was wet from rain position of tv over single bed and air con didn’t heat up the room

Had to be very diligent with remembering your key card, could get locked out of the room if going to the bathroom in early hours, but honestly not much to complain about!
Very high quality budget option in Randwick, clean, cosy but ticked all the boxes for me. My van was too big for the car park and the staff were very helpful in allowing me to have an outdoor spot instead.

The bathroom fan little noisy when turned on. can hear the odd door close from other rooms but other than that nothing much.
The room size, quite surprised how big it was. Reasonable price & affordable. Very helpful reception staff, quick reply to any questions had. Was great that was allowed to check in earlier and room was also ready to drop luggage in too.(arrived in morning way before checkin)

The noise outside my bedroom window from the internal courtyard at 7am in the morning after a late night was very annoying and the room I was in was very small, ok to sleep in but could not spend any time there otherwise
