Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOur Villa was located next to a children's play ground, which is great for us, and plenty of room for parking
Anchor Bell, had all the things that we required as a family. The villa was kept well and plenty of room for 6 people.

AustraliaOnly complaint was water pressure in shower. Remaining taps in cabin all had great water pressure. There was a water saving showerhead, plus it seemed another water restricting valve was installed and the pressure was extremely low. This was counter productive as it took 3 times as long to rinse soap, shampoo etc off. so we had to have longer than normal showers. Simple fix of the shower & I'd give it a perfect rating🙂👍
Lovely polite staff. Nice cabins, well kept. Had the basics that are needed in kitchen, full sized fridge and a sharp knife which is very rare in accommodation. Wasn't a fan of the fixed tap over kitchen sink though. It made it hard to wash dishes without risk of knocking and breaking things on tap. We had an issue with 2 x flickering lights that was rectified within an hour of reporting. Great service👍👍

AustraliaI booked a Deluxe cabin and I guess my expectation was different. It was tidy and clear but definitely not luxurious. Perfect for a laid back family trip but not a match for my romantic getaway.
The place was clean and the location was very convenient. About 100m from the beach and a few min from most restaurants and cafes.

AustraliaIt was quite cool overnight and the grandkids were a bit chilly in bed. No extra blankets were provided. I imagine this is due to Covid. They wore socks and trakkies to bed so really not a problem.
Exceptionally clean cabin. There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere and the bathroom was spotless. The main bed was very comfortable, with lovely fresh linen in both the main bedroom and the grandkids bunk room. I did bring extra pillows which are always useful. The beach is a couple of hundred metres away down a quiet track, and is a lovely safe beach. If you are camping or have your own van, dogs are permitted. The main Street of Cowes has a large abundance of interesting boutiques, and a very wide choice of cafes and restaurants. We made full use of them. We also made use of the indoor pool when it was too cold for the beach. It too had the same uncompromising commitment to cleanliness as the rest of the facilities.

AustraliaThe bed although comfortable was a small double which was a little tight for two adults. I think for the cost of three nights perhaps the cost cabin isn't strong value for money
G'day parks are always helpful and friendly. The location was great. We would definitely come again but book a cabin with a queen bed. The cabin was wonderfully clean and and as a self contained unit it was well equipped. The security in the park was a comfort to us

AustraliaThe bathroom - too small to take a little kids together to take a shower. The door was automatically opened and got wet in front of toilet The blankets - there were no extra blankets in the cabin (even no extra pillows)
Facilities - indoor swimming pool, game centre, pillow jumper, very clean kitchen

GermanyEverything is pretty old. The bunk beds aren’t that comfortable and due to the location next to the playground it was a bit loud in the morning. We could have used a bigger bin inside (there was only one outside).
The Bungalow was pretty big. The location is really nice and the staff super friendly. There’s also a pool, a basketball court and a recreational room which looked nice.

United KingdomWifi was beyond awful, and there was pretty much no signal there so that’s something to bare in mind. Also, although the cabins were lovely and and as described, they really are paper thin and you can hear everything from the cabins either side even though they are detached. It sounds like your all in the same cabin! (So maybe being ear plugs if you want a good nights sleep).
Photos are a true reflection of the property, staff were friendly, great location. Beds are comfortable, cabin and clean and great value for money.
