Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBathroom towel rail not easy to reach from the shower and the basin sprayed everywhere. A couple more towels would be good especially for hair wash days.
Location to transport and food markets, good restaurants nearby and easy to explore Sydney from the apartment. Apartment was great for a couple. Comfortable bed plenty of storage space and well equipped kitchen. Balcony was a bonus. Bathroom is roomy. Laundry was a bonus too.

AustraliaThe TV did not have Chromecast as promised, so our viewing was limited. The main bed was broken, but was quickly fixed when we reported it. The only bedding available were doonas which were too hot, sheets and optional light blanket would have been better. The kitchen was ok - but surprised to find no grater, and a very ordinary peeler.
The location was exceptional, access to buses, trains and ferries was terrific. We had a car so Crows Nest was a convenient spot for a big shop, but the convenience store and local cafes were also very handy day to day.

United StatesNothing negative with the apartment itself...just be prepared for the early morning wake up calls by the magpies and lorikeets! Maybe a washcloth would be nice with provided towels!
Super spacious 2 bed/2 bath, close to cafes, restaurants and grocery. Bus stop right out front. Close to train station as well for easy access to the CBD/Rocks area. Great host that met us and went over apartment features and gave ideas for things to do and places to see!! Nice to have human interaction and not having to track down a lockbox! Washer & dryer! The furniture and bed are very comfortable. Large closets to settle in for an extended stay! Well stocked kitchen. An added bonus.... bathtub and shower!! Weekly servicing of the apartment was also a nice touch for those longer stays! Would definitely book again!

AustraliaDocumentation could have been provided for the use of the oven and cooktop. Looks like it has never been used and I could see why... no real hardship for me as I was not at the apartment all that much but it would have been nice to be able to use on occasion. Even though a lovely dooner was provided, it was too warm to be utilised this time of the year and it was too cool not to have on in the early morning. A light blanket for the in between could have been provided. Reported flicking light in the kitchen which is to be repaired apparently. Also the ABC station on the TV was not able to be used sometimes as it indicated that there was no connection. Taking the TV aerial out of TV and reinserting sometimes kickstarted ABC.
The location of the apartment building was excellent. It totally suited my needs. My husband had to undergo emergency open heart surgery at The Mater Hospital and I could walk to and from without having to take taxis all the time. The location of the IGA next door and the Metro Woolworths 5 minutes provided me with access to groceries at my hand. All in all I loved the area and being alone felt secure and safe within the apartment.

AustraliaThe cleaners could do a better job, there were pieces of metal on the carpet and the glasses were dirty and some leftover cheese on a chopping board. The internet stopped working about half my stay and was not fixed.
The location is great, access to public transport, cafes, hospitals. The apartment is big and comfortable, there is garage, gym and sauna. It's not as noisy for a city apartment. The manager answered rapidly to queries.

Australiaall of the TV’s in the apartment are older and do not have wifi access. this was a bit of a let down. both of the below issues are out of the control of the apartment owner but I thought to mention them anyway: at least one elevator in the complex seemed to always be out of service. i stayed for nearly three weeks so this became very annoying as, being on one of the top floors, you’d be left waiting for ages while the working one made 5/6 different stops before it would come to you. this was particularly frustrating when I would be collecting Uber eats or heading down for a taxi. the upstairs neighbours, at the time of my visit, were very inconsiderate. they stomped around their house and often sounded like they were moving furniture or dropping heavy items. i thought it would be for a day or two but it prolonged throughout my entire stay. this was particularly frustrating as they often made lots of noise late into the night or early into the mornings.
the staff are lovely and accomodating. the location is great; the apartment is spacious; there are many mirrors, both full length and half, with great lighting. the apartment is well equipped for a long term stay. there is an IGA next door which was very convenient. the beds are very comfortable and there are multiple pillows available, so you’ll definitely find one or two that you like. the balcony is nice to have and let’s lots of fresh air in. the apartment is filled with natural lighting when you open the blinds; very welcoming. the bathtub is amazing!!!

United StatesLocation: We were actually transferred to an apartment in a different building, called Polaris Apartments, that was about 3-4 mins walk away from the Miller St property. The new apartment is nice, though we didn't know that we would be transferred to a different building at the time of booking - we were informed after. Location is convenient, near supermarkets (Woolworths Metro, Coles, etc.), lots of restaurants (food court in Northpoint Shopping mall), pharmacies, and bus stops that take you straight into downtown or CBD Sydney in less than 10-15 mins, depending on traffic. The closest train station is North Sydney, about 7-10 mins walk, that takes you right into downtown Sydney in less than 10 mins. Take note, however, that if you're walking from North Sydney train station back to Polaris or the Miller St. building, the walk is steep and goes uphill depending on walking route. Facilities: The Polaris two-bedroom apartment we were given was clean, modern, and well-maintained. In the apartment, there was a washer/dryer, two bathrooms (one en-suite, within the master bedroom itself, while the other was outside near the kitchen), a well-equipped kitchen, two couches, a coffee table, a TV in the living room, a medium-sized glass dining table, and a sunroom balcony that overlooks other apartments and the suburbs behind the building. The kitchen also has a microwave, a large sink, oven, utensils, cups, and various pots and pans available if you'd like to cook. Some coffee and sugar packets were provided, although these will not be replenished during the duration of the day (same with the shower gel and shampoo). Overall, it was a pleasant apartment and a nice place to stay while in Sydney. Check-in: Check-in process was smooth. John, the manager, kept in touch via e-mail and message once we arrived in Sydney. He met us at the front of the building and showed us the apartment, introduced us to the facilities, and even gave advice on the area. Very helpful.

United KingdomThe cleanliness was not up to standard. High gloss kitchen cupboards, glass dining table and coffee table, balcony doors and windows and bathroom mirrors had all been wiped over but were all smeared and did not look clean. The tops of the high gloss cupboards had not been wiped at all and you could see grease splatter. Bathrooms were cleaned better but there is still alot of build up in the shower that could benefit from a more thorough clean. A request to take the bin out daily however as no bin liners were provided this is irritating to go and purchase immediately to comply. Suggest bin liners are provided if you wan the bin emptied daily. Linen service was provided but we were not told which day this would occur which resulted in them arriving unexpectedly.
Fantastic location close to transport links. Bus right outside the door goes to the city or short walk to the train station. Spacious apartment with all the facilities required. Well laid out - separation of bedrooms with lounge/kitchen in between - allowed privacy for all. Two bathrooms is a necessity when travelling with four people. There is a small supermarket (IGA) immediately adjacent with fresh bread and pastries available plus basic staples. A larger supermarket (Woolworths) is a short stroll away. The Japanese restaurant underneath (Sakura) was great quality and convenient. Several adjacent coffee shops provided a nice breakfast. As did Soho on Miller which was a short stroll away.

Very comfortable apartment (2502). Excellent location. IGA next door. & 2 supermarkets, cafes, train & parks in easy walking distance. Carpark reasonable price at $20/day. Both hooks and towel rail in bathrooms. Coathangers in cupboards. Appliances in working order - though we didn't use the dishwasher, washer or dryer. Enough crockery & cutlery & sharp knives for 4 adults in our 2 bedroom/2bathroom apartment. Good size fridge for family use.

United Arab EmiratesOwner entered the apartment without our knowledge. Cockroach infested apartment (including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen). Lift did not work to access high floor of the apartment.
Owner entered the apartment without our knowledge. This was an invasion of privacy and made us feel very insecure thoughout our stay, no knowing if the owner would enter the apartment at any moment. Every room in the house was infested with cockroaches - in the bedrooms, bathroom/shower, kitchen. Cockroaches were crawling in the wardrobes in the bedroom, in the shower recess in the bathroom, on kitchen benches, in the dishwasher. The apartment is on a high floor and the buidling has problems with the lift - during our stay we had to wait 1-2 hours to be able to gain access to the apartment as both the lifts were out of order. There was no one to contact in the building to organise repairs and when we contacted the owner of the apartment said he could not do anything about it. I would not stay here again. A very unpleasant stay and unhygienic environment.
