It's necessary to pay for using the dishes so the money is refunded but if the check-it is early there's no option for taking the dishes.

Not that it affected me directly but some rooms seemed to have only one window so the door was always open and it looked quite messy and smelled really bad out of some rooms.

The room I stayed in was really nice, had some windows and even a balcony so could always get some fresh air. Bed was comfy, too, facilities were clean and there was enough space for my suitcase and stuff. Direct beach access is very nice and it’s also just a short walk to the city centre.

The kitchen was always packed, too hot, dirty. I did a lot of take away and eating out since cooking was not good at all. Fridges too full, almost impossible to put anything. The hostel was too packed as well so had to wait in line to shower.

The location is amazing, it’s right in front of the beach, super friendly environment. Swimming pool and volleyball court. Nice garden to chill. At 10.30 people go to sleep or have to take the social gathering somewhere else, so you can definitly sleep

No aircon, most backpackers have air con that generally comes on 9pm for a good nights sleep Very over crowded and mesay clothes everywhere hanging not real hygenic showers not the cleanest no hot water.

the roommate coughing 2 hours in the middle of night, I wish she doesn't have covid. I booked female dorm but got mixed dorm. and I heard nothing about it when i check in. But check out staff understood and apologized about this issues so i'm fine.

Unfortunately pool was out if order while being there, but the direct access to the see made up for it!

Great location, just couple of minutes walking from bus station and city centre. Bathrooms and the whole structure being extremely clean. Sheets were immaculate, beds comfortable and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Security after 10pm and gates would ensure only residents could get in. Definitely recommended, and will go back for sure when in town.

One of the staff members was quite fierce ( on our first night at the 10 pm outside area curfew) He was firmly telling us 'the party is over you need to leave'. When I said, 'I'm not at a party, I'm a guest'; (I'm 57 by the way and was having a cup of tea not a bong) I thought I was going to get chucked out and felt quite intimidated by him. He was better the next day and I guess he was just stressed but it really wasn't necessary, or good customer service. The kitchen could do with an update and the fridges were seriously over filled, with very limited space to store food.

A really well located hostel, within five minutes walk of the beach and shops. There are nice areas to chill and hang out, with volleyball pitches, outside areas and beanbags. The place had a really good vibe and the beds, ( shared room) were super comfy. The showers were clean and each cubicle was really big which was a real bonus in a hostel.

The rooms are extremely basic. Old rickety beds, no privacy curtains, no individual light, not even plugs near the bed, no ac.... Staff weren't even willing to try and arrange for extension cords etc.... Unfortunately due to petty neighbours they close literally every common space after 10pm, so you literally can't even sit with a friend to have a quiet chat at night. Unless you are in bed you literally have to leave the compound. And a special mention to this hostel which, together with several others along the coast, have engaged in outrageous price gouging that is wayyyyy above inflation, making the East Coast unaffordable for so many backpackers this summer. A total disappointment.

The location is superb, they literally have a rear gate that goes into a quiet part of the beach. The front access is a 5 minute walk into the centre, 6 to the bus station, and 8 to the supermarket. The amenities are nicely organised, with the common area, kitchen, dining area all grouped together, making it a very social hostel. There are also some nice grassy areas with games etc. The rooms aren't too overcrowded, with 4 bunk beds and plenty of space. The lockers were big enough. There are plenty of shower and toilet blocks, they are kept reasonably clean, and the showers have a good flow of proper hot water. The hostel in general is kept in a clean condition. Wi-Fi signal was average, but it reached the room and all common areas.

No air conditioning. It gets so hot in the bedrooms. People live in the hostel, so their stuff is everywhere, checks need to be made on these people to ensure they are keeping things tidy. There are signs everywhere saying not to use the bannisters to hang clothes and towels - these are ignored and stagg do nothing about it. Place looks like a launderette.

The room. There was no seat or table, especially for those with a top bunk. Closing the common area at 10:30 PM was bad for me needing a comfortable place (aka table and seat) to do some travel research online. This is the first hostel I've seen close an entire common area.
