Great place for families. The river is pretty shallow so not great for swimming or fishing but good for kayaks. Great communal fire pit and nice location.

Loved the location beside the river. So many birds and could see the platypus playing. I liked the location just out of town but not too far away. Cottage very clean. Awesome. We will be coming back and staying here 100%

Outstanding. We both love cabins in beautiful locations and this did not disappoint. It honestly felt like a staying at a country club. Magnificent location... easy access to town. Extremely clean and well maintained cabin with all the bits and pieces needed to cook and have a wonderful time. You will not be disappointed! We plan on going back. 😁 P.S. The local butcher in town has magnificent meat. Make the effort and buy there instead of the grocery store.

It would have been magic to see the Platypus but we realise they are shy creatures. We wish we had the time to stay another week.

This spacious, light, and comfy cottage is brilliantly situated on the banks of the Barrington River. The views up and down the River are delightful and the varied bird life a constant pleasure. We saw egrets, a hawk, ducks, Galahs, honeyeaters, swifts, rosellas, moorhens, fairy wrens and some exquisite tiny thornbills (?finches?). All the comforts of home plus a broad and well-equipped deck overlooking the river, perfect for watching the birds and painting the view. Our hosts were friendly, kind and helpful.

we had a lovley stay here, the morning sun on the Verandah was lovley in the mornings, the Fire Pit was great. the Kitchen had everything you need, and the Air con was a bonus in the cold mornings. Beds we very comfortable.

Just a friendly suggestion to the owners to maybe replace the bathroom sink with a bigger one, I found the tiny sink made water go all over the floor every time someone used it.

This property offers a huge value for money. The location was great, anyone who prefers privacy and peace would love this hut. It is nicely tucked away in the farm but still at a mere 10 minute drive to the town cafes and kids playgrounds. Sue was very kind to turn the heating on for us before we arrived, and ensured we had an easy checkout. The kitchen was well equipped to cook a full meal, and the dishwasher was a bonus. Everything was clean and tidy across the hut. Bedding was also very comfortable. Internet and mobile reception was also great. We also received a free jar of fresh honey and I must say - I have never tasted anything as good before!

One of my new found favourite places! The serenity of the area was just perfect for a weekend getaway. The balcony overlooks stunning views of the river and mountains in the distance. The cabin was so roomy and had everything you need for an easy stay. My partner and I cannot wait to go back!

Shower screen got stuck and felt like it might break. Sheer curtains behind the full block out ones in bedrooms would be great for letting in natural light without letting people from the outside look in. Otherwise no issues.

Lovely location, beautiful surroundings near river and bird life. Quiet, peaceful and picturesque. Bonfire was an added bonus for roasting marshmallows. Comfortable and well equipped.

Next time we’ll make sure to bring our camping chairs as the chairs on the veranda were more for dining than lounging, but not a big deal.

The experience of sitting on the veranda and looking out into nature, the beautiful river, the trees and the sweet wildlife - so beautiful and memorable. Especially the lovely clean and comfortable cottage, perfect location and everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

WiFi was very intermittent - nice if you want to switch off but tricky when needing to work or wanting to watch the Aust Open! The ONLY thing missing which isn't a disaster, was a clothes drying rack for after swimming in the river but the deck railing served us well enough.

The location is amazing - saw plenty of platypi early in the morning; went swimming in the river in the 2 recommended locations; air con worked so well and very much needed! We did lots of walking and driving so the cottage was a welcome home away from home. Used the BBQ and the kitchen had all we needed. Comfortable bed. Nice touches such as honey from their bees, lovely lotions in the bathroom, and many more, very homely and thoughtful. The birdlife is amazing - there was always something happening in nature from the deck. Could be as comfortable or active as you liked but nice to be amongst nature and the peacefulness. Will definitely be back - a lot more exploring to do!

This was one of four cottages looking over the river, it was very private and quiet, the views and birdlife were amazing, only a few mins in to town and great bushwalking within 15mins. The cottages are a good size, very well appointed, very clean, and surrounded by lovely gardens. I was very sad to leave.
