How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing, it was great
Amazing location, lovely room with a large balcony with a view over the pool. Spacious enough that our little family of 4 didn’t feel cramped even though it was a one bedroom apartment.

We would have liked better Chanel’s for tv. The quality of the furnishings weren’t awesome but sufficient.
We loved the use of the pool and barbecue facilities. Staff was super friendly and informative.

The staff is lovely and the location is great! This is the third time we have stayed at Beaches Apartments, and the forth apartment we had (extended our booking the first time but had to move to another apartment). All nice and clean, just limited storage/wardrobe space if you stay for longer periods.

Not much. Just very small things like salt and pepper, more cleaning equipment etc for the time that we stayed there (5 nights). About an 8-10 min walk into town, which we didn't mind.
Great apartment. Spacious with a big deck. We stayed in apartment 5, so 6 close to the main road, but it didn't bother us with the traffic. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely stay again.

Our apartment faced the road - we understood that we would have a garden or pool facing room. The traffic noise was constant - sitting out on the balcony was an unpleasant experience. Be careful when booking that you avoid these rooms.

It hadn’t been cleaned very well in some places of the room. The toilet seat wasn’t the right fit for the toilet. And there was no broom or vacuum for us to use.
I liked that it was about 500m from the main shops and also the good air conditioner.

For a stay of 5 nights it was short of towels. Only one per person and had to pay extra for pool towels. Pool towels should have been included in price of stay.

The Washing Machine didn't work and the Wifi wasn't great for working on Laptop. Worked perfectly for social media and Whatsapp.
The Location was perfect, and the beds were very comfortable. Only about 15mins walk from main town and beach. Would definitely stay here again !

The apartment was very small compared to the pictures and certainly too small for 2 adults and 2 kids. The travel cot barely fitted in the bedroom and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable, even for a 3 years old. The shower head needs some fixing.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had no issue checking in and out. The property is at walking distance from the city centre and the beach. The apartment was clean, and we got plenty of towels, blankets, bed linen etc. The bed in the main bedroom was big and very comfortable. The laundry in the bathroom certainly came very handy. The pool just in front of our apartment was great!
