Price. $325 for a motel room is over the top. I needed a room with 2 separate beds and this was the only option on Booking.com when I booked. A couple days later there was one for $265 - looked the same - I rang the motel but they would not let me change. Also when asked if we would be able to check in earlier than 2pm was told it would be $10 an hour to check in earlier!

The room was clean and comfortable and all staff friendly and accommodating. We loved the area, A nice short walk to absolutely everything. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The daily room clean was sub-par. Not once were the beds made and we stayed for 5 nights…. The bins in our room were emptied twice only and for 3 days the old towels were not removed so we had a mountain of towels piled in our bathroom. The toilet paper was also not replaced so we ended up with no toilet paper and had to ‘borrow’ some from another guest which was embarrassing. These things really let down our stay. Other than that we really enjoyed staying there and I would go back but I would have to confirm the daily room clean first. I spoke to other guests staying at the same time and they said their beds were made every day, towels taken away and bins emptied etc so I’m not sure why it wasn’t the same for everyone else.

The motel was just a couple of blocks back from the river so good location. Also it was surrounded by great cafes/restaurants and the IGA was about 100m away too. The little pool was fun for the kids too.

Bar fridge in room small and no freezer section for ice cubes. More towel hooks would be great. Would have liked to use the TV mirroring but didn’t work, but still a good stay.

The motel is done up beautifully, you feel as though you could be in a Greek hotel amongst the vines and blue and white facade. The reception staff was wonderful and very accomodating. The pool area is the perfect place to relax in the sun with a cocktail and we would recommend anyone to stay here.

It is walking distance to a beach. We could see the sun rise which is very good. But it is far from Byron Bay beach.

The reception closed early. This is not convenient because we come and check in at night time (8pm). No one to ask questions. But the receptionist left the key to us. The next morning we left the key to them without seeing them again. This is good and bad. The motel is clean and nice. There are chairs outside each room for relaxing which is good.
